Shooting at Lunch

I crunch numbers all day.

Today for the first time I went to the gun range at lunch and shot about 100 rounds istead of sitting at a table and listening to people gripe about their jobs.

I have to say, I am having the best afternoon I can remember.

Every so often, I like to stick my head out the window, look up, and smile for a satellite picture.

Way to go shydive. Shooting is a very good way to spend luncj. Next time the office bothers you some. Head to the gun store. Looking at and buying guns always make me feel better.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

My plan was to do it on the way home but I just couldn't wait. It was actually kind of funny, there were two other guys wearing ties in there. Must have had the same idea I did.

Have fun, picture a terrorist and fire one off for me.

It may have been the first time, but somehow I get the feeling, it will not be the last.

Sometimes I take a walk down to my truck at lunch and grab my fishing rod and head down to the Detroit River. I've been seen fishing for walleye behind the Renaissance Center in a shirt and tie! Unfortunately, the only way to shoot at lunch in Detroit would be to pop some of these pigeons with a pellet gun.

Yeah I shoot at lunch, some of those airtight bags are hard to get open.

I'm pretty lucky, there's an indoor range about 10 minutes from my office.

Dangit SP, you beat me to the punch.

Make lunch-time shooting a habit until someone asks you what you do during lunch. Tell them that you've been going out and shooting. See the look on their faces.

I sure wish I had a place to shoot so close to me. I live in Reno NV. and we have a gun show pretty close to once every two months, but we don't have any shooting ranges that I know of. We had one indoor range but it was closed after they discovored toxic levels of lead. The closest I get to a shooting range is 20 miles out of town on a dirt road. I thought being such a conservative state they would have ranges everywhere. What a disapointment Sky count yourself lucky and take full advantage of your good fortune!

Well, don't fret. I have to drive 90 miles out of town to get to a range.

Well, not to rub it in but I live near the WI border in Illinois. I've got the range 10 minutes from my house, 20 minutes away is a Bass Pro Shop with both an indoor handgun and rifle/shotgun range, and then I joined a club in WI, about 30 minutes away, outdoor that has 25,50,100,200 yrd targets.

On the other hand, our gun laws pretty much suck.

My range is 1 minutes walk from my front door!!! That was one of the reasons for buying this place. I can shoot when I want to and so far the neighbors haven't complained. When they do I'm going to put in a 1000 sow farrow to finish operation!! And yes I have been known to shoot at lunchtime! I usually will not shoot until after 12:00 noon on Sunday though. Some of the neibors sleep late!! GHD
