Anyone ever have a supernatural experience or seen a ghost (spirit) in his or her lifetime?

We had a ghost hanging around our house for years. You would hear the front door open and close, then hear footsteps across the hall to the kitchen. Often you would hear a loud noise like a cardboard box full of books dropping to the floor. Sometimes it would turn the lights on, or off. Never saw anything, though. We got this hard core Bible reader for a housemate and he didn't like the ghost and he did some kind of exorcism, I don't know what, but he ran the ghost off. It had never bothered us, I kind of liked it.

    Ghost? I really can't say.

Lights going on or off without the benefit of our presence. One Christmas a string of lights we'd removed the blinker bulb from were returned to blinking mode without our help. The blinker bulb was in a desk drawer three rooms away.

I worked late one night. When I came up the stairs, my wife asked why I was doing it for the second time... I wasn't! She described "me" coming up the stairs about 10 minutes before I got home. Different shirt, but I never figured how she could tell in the dark. "I" had walked down the hall toward the kids rooms. Needless to say I went that way too, pistol in hand... Nothing!

Couldn't keep the house locked either. First few times we looked at each other and figured one or the other has forgotten. Next came the deadbolt and the double check before we left. House was open when we arrived back home.

Nothing ever stolen, no feeling of being scared. Fact is, we named him Fred and figured that whatever he/it was, there were no ill intentions. I even got to the point that I wasn't worried about an unlocked house. I figure Fred would have dealt with intruders as needed.

Sort of miss him now... We moved 23 years ago. Doors stay locked now.

When I was 14, my 13 year old cousin was killed by a car. She was the closest thing that I ever had to a sister and it was really hard on me. I had and still do occasionally have dreams with her in them and we talk about her death and lots of things. I believe that it's her spirit communicating with me.
I also became close to a school teacher the next year. I was able to talk to him unlike I could with my parents, plus I had a crush on his son. He died when I was 16, and when I whenever I was crying in my bed, I would feel the bed shift as if somebody sat down. I would suddenly feel calm and loved. After every single episode, the next day, I would see his silhouette in a car that passed me. That always made my neckhairs stand on end!

    PEACE..., through superior firepower.

I did once. The house I grew up in was built by my dad and his dad(my grandfather). When I was about 5 years old my parents built an addition onto the house because we just had child #3 and we needed the space. This addition included a nice big two car garage. This was a neat place for my sister and I to play on our tricycles. It had a nice hard, flat surface. So there we are riding around the garage and I looked at the open doorway that led into the old basement and a man walked by the doorway on the basement side.I let out a scream because I knew the only other persons who were home was my mother and my sister and Mom was upstairs. She came running when she heard the scream and we told her what we saw.She tried to blow it off, did'nt need young children having nightmares and such. But today, she'll tell me exactly what I thought shortly after this all happened. That most likely it was my grandfather checking out the construction on the addition.Something he definitly would have done if he would have been still around. He died about 3 years before the addition was built.

A few years back I had a severe allergic reaction to some medication I was prescribed. It was bad enough that I had my wife take me to the hospital. I passed out in the emergency room after we got there. I'm told that for about three minutes I was legally dead. Flatlined. While I was "away" I saw my grandmother waving to me. She then shook her head no and shooed me away, as if to say now is not the time.

One summer when I was about 25 and visiting my parents, I was half asleep in the early morning hours and I heard a voice telling me, "Grandfather is ending." It was clear as anything, woke we right up. My wife was simultaneously visiting her parents. She called to tell me the next day that her grandfather, who was visiting her parents also, had passed away in his sleep the night I had my dream. Coincidence because I knew his health wasn't great? Who knows?

I really appreciate everyone's responses. I know some people feel this subject borders on the weird and phsycotic, but the Bible says we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. I believe there are spirits all around us as well as Angels. Demeons are present also, but I don''t give them any recognition because of the Holy Spirit that lives within me. They are powerless over the Christian believer.

It truly is comforting knowing our departed loved ones are cheering us on to fight the good fight and warfare a good war against sin and evil. The good news is, WE WIN!!!

Ok, after reading this I feel we need to start another thread as to why drugs should be kept illegal and out of the hands of certain people.
