58% of the voters think that the U.N. should dictate U.S. policy.

    Unbelievable.

Time for the UN to take a hike, and time for America to tell it to do so. What would happen then? The UN would cease to exist. No loss whatsoever.
One man's opinion. And it's been the same since I read about the UN in grade school. It ain't changing.

Screw the UN...No matter what we (the USA) are always wrong, always the Bad guy, and always the ones that should somehow pay for everything.

greetings, personally i don't think now is a good time to take on iraq, but if we do we need to do it with resolve, no limited warfare let's do it to win. as far as a un or even a nato mandate, NO. these two enties have got our forces spread all over the globe for some stupid policing action. plus the un has involved us in a situation where even stalemate is improvable, (korea, the balkans, etc). respt submitted dads-freehold

How come the U.N. always wants to oppose everything we do until THEY need help, then they come crawling to us. I personally think we should pull out of the U.N. for a while and let Europe sweat. I guess saving their a** twice no longer means anything. Go ahead and let Sadam build nukes and chemical weapons. When we have to shoot them down we'll just make sure they land in Europe (course then we'll get blamed for that too).

Im with William, piss on the UN. They are UN American, they represent UN American values and they are UN appreciative of our Constitutional rights as free AMERICAN citizens. We live in the greatest country ever formed in the history of the world. Our freedoms, even the ones that are being assaulted, make us unique above any other civilization in history. Our Constitution is the protector of our people and it must be preserved. The UN would have us burn our constitution and join a one world government relinquishing all our protections guaranteed in the bill of rights. I hope the UN forces us to go it alone, it will insure our departure from the UN. Piss on the UN!

My only concern is the what if factor. What if Iraq already has nuke capability and they use it on our troops in the area over there? I hope our government lets it be known that if they use weapons of mass destruction against us it will be returned to them times ten.

Preach on Brother Mudge! That is exactly what I was thinking, if the other guys don't think he is a threat, they may not want to act. If we think he is, who are they to tell us differently.

I would think the UN would go along with us, if for no other reason than some of its major players are supplying Iraq with the very weapons we want to destroy, and therefore our armed involvement would at least ensure their cash flow.

We should attack with or without UN approval but not yet. We are far from being done with osama and his cronies. I would go all out with the war on terror for another year and then hit them with all we got. We are spread much too thin right now. Our borders need major attention for one thing.
