I bought one in 7mm rem mag a few years back on GB. It is a terrific rifle, shoots like no tomorrow and always inspires an ah or two when I bring it out to shoot.

I traded off a light sporter in 30-06 many years ago, and wish I had it back. It would be easy to spot if I see it, I had the stud for the sling moved to the stock, and the one on the barrel removed, as well as the front sight removed, and reblued.

I only have one #1 right now, a tropical in 458 Win mag. Did you have the ventilated recoil pad put on yours??

Let us see some pics, most of the #1s in larger calibers have nice wood, better than average.

I found a stainless/laminate in .45-70 last year and am completely in love with the gun. Next thing I"m going to do is try the ol' free-float trick with a washer. Apparently it works like a charm.
