This guy works for the principal. Having him removed will only bring another trooper taking the same orders from the same principal. This guy is under instruction to act like this, the next guy will do the same. His only guidelines are that he cannot break the law. This guy is under a federal program, his only duty is to that school. His ability to write tickets, respond to outside calls and any other activites outside that school have been removed. He answers only to the principal. If the principal isn't happy with his performance she can request his removal. This same job was offered to my friend. He didn't want the job but this is how I learned of this program and the way it's set up.
Hey now, watch those nazi comments, "cuz next youy'll be called anti LEO and all that crap. So you got a dick for a cop, what's new? Most of the LEO's in this country are good guys, but it's dickfaces like this one (if what you say it true) that make them all look bad. Have you ever heard of a "blanket party"?he he he!
Just a thought, but the trooper might have been sh*tcanned to this duty because he just aint a very good cop? The funding was there, so the HMFIC (guy in charge) needs to be PC and send a trooper to the school. He kills 2 birds with 1 stone, gets a dungbird away from the real troopers, and makes points with the politicians.
Go to his superiors and the school board, i agree with nunn he has a boss, maybe he is there from a inability to deal with the public and his is a deal of him needing to straighten out and hasnt gotten that yet. the school board also needs to hear about it because they could prevent a problem with him befor it happens.
Despite the point that I dont consider any officer's presence necessary or helpful, I would still support and respect the officer if he made the slightest effort to be anything other than a complete and total horse's-*.
I dont judge him because he's a cop.
I judge him because he's a jerk.
Call me silly, but I've always said that people in authority should be held to a higher standard than everyone else.

I refuse to allow my school to be polluted by this loathesome snail of a cop. I refuse to allow some pipsqueak with a foot-long chip on his shoulder and a big fat badge to run my school.

Hey Bullzeye! better watch yourself! did you see what it says besides this guy Dano's name? it says he has an advanced member! do not ever start anything with any guy that has his member advanced!
This stuff happens, yep. I went through a couple years of crap because I stood up for my kid (for defending a Down's kid), and the principal and school board then targeted my son to get BACK AT ME for having the gall to question their authority. These liason officers (at least around here) follow school board policy, which is to make all kids look and act like their vision of what they should be. These are old people. Not in years. These are people who forgot that they probably wore bell bottoms and had long hair when they were in school, forgot that we all used to carry pocketknives, forgot that although we were troublesome at times, most of us were pretty decent folks just being young and adventurous, living teenage years without worrying about paying mortgages or making ends meet. You only get one chance to do that, and some people want the carefree days removed, probably not want to see a couple of barefoot boys walking down to the fishing hole with a couple firecrackers in their pockets. They might get hurt!! Yeah, they might. I'd rather have them remember some years of "Tom Sawyer" existence at the expense of sanitized safety than to have them feel like they are working for the man from the time they are 6. And the majority of school administrators were "dorks" in school, so now many have a severe psychological problem in that they still hold a grudge against "normal" kids who they can now punish because they aren't dweebs. My kid is one who thrives on proving that he can do something, so he bit his lip, and graduated a semester early with a B average. I think that got the goat of the "school gestapos" more than anything else could have. What do you have, a month at most left in school, Bullz? Is it worth the worry? Wanna drive them nuts? Say hello and smile at him every time you see him. Get your friends to do the same. Don't do it in a smartass way. Kill him with kindness. Pretty soon he'll bust someone for "being suspicious" because they're "too nice". While that person is getting harassed in the office with the liason officer present (hopefully with a mini tape recorder in his pocket), tape the school slugs out back puffing their pot. Maybe that will show the school board what the hell is going on. But don't count on it.
Bullz,
If you only have a month left in school I would refer you to dano's post above. I know when you are a kid in high school a month is a long time but later in life the months go by like weeks. If it was me in your position and one month of school left that guy would be the last thing on my mind.
smokinggun--Amen to what you just said. Them months FLY the older you get and the harder you work. I can't wait for the next two years to fly but I'm going to hate to see the rest of them go by so quickly as the last one. Historically speaking, students have always felt a need to have a "cause" to rally behind. I guess it's part of the growing and maturing process. Iowa State University students have been living in cardboard boxes (either last week or this week) in order to make some kind of statement about homelessness. I just want to jump up and down and scream "HELLO! There is nothing new under the sun! Grow up and go back to your dorm rooms." If this "cop" is as big of a horse's * as Bullzeye claims then he will be his own undoing. Ignore him and be nonchalant. Power trippers can't handle the thought of being perceived as insignificant. Let him have a heart attack and move on.
