I got the CT CCW to add CT to my list.As of today I have a NY CCW,TX CCW,FL CCP,NV CCW and the CT CCW.These permits allow me to carry in the following states;Arizona,Alaska,Arkansas,Connecticut,Georgia,Florida,Idaho,Indianna,Kentucky,Louisianna,Michigan,Montanna,Mississippi,New Hampshire,Nevada,New York,North Dakota,Oklahoma,Pennsylvania,Tennessee,Utah,Virginia,Vermont,Wyoming
I mention this so all who are eligable for CCW permits to take the time and get them while you can.Until there is full reciprosity through the USA we must abide by the rules they have set.All it takes it a little time and a nominal fee and you will get your CCW.Good luck,Josey.

How does that work? Are the other States issuing you a concealed carry permit based upon your home State's permit?
I noted you have GA and FL on the list--the two States I visit most--both of which do not currently offer reciprocity for SC Concealed Weapon Permit holders. Do you have a specific address where I can write to get a permit in those states?
Thanks for any help,
Joe

We only have a few special years with our children in which they desire our time, attention, and love. After that time is over, it is gone forever, and we will be the ones that desire their time, attention, and love. Make those few, short years count -
I'd look into it, but I never get to go anywhere

Simon-Thanks about the info. I will check on AL ASAP.
Concealed_Thanks for the congrats but it really is not that amazing. You would be surprised at how many people think it is imposible to get a CCW in their home state and do not even try(assuming it is legal in their state. For example,I own a home in NY(family left it to me) that I keep to rent but I still have NY residence there(I pay MUCHO NY taxes ).Now nobody in my NY town will even try to get a CCW because they are told over and over how restrictive the gun laws are there, when in fact it is one of the fiscally cheapest CCW permits to apply for and if you qualify you will not be turned down. What people don't realize is that it is NY CITY that restricts the citizens right to self defense, once you get into the outlaying counties you can get any gun you want(except full auto).I suspect this is the same way many people in other states think so they do not bother.Best thing to do is call the State Police Firearms and licensing division, they will help you get it done.
I would bet my life that I will never visit half of the states I am now licensed to carry in,but it sure is nice knowing I can.
