CP: Open Letter to Al Qa'ida

HAIRYHAIRY Member Posts: 23,606
edited June 2004 in General Discussion
From a Marine officer on the Iraqi warfront with Jihadistan...

(This is an open letter to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, "Islamic
Response," and the rest of the so-called al-Qa'ida "insurgents"
in Iraq and elsewhere. We don't have an e-mail address for these
swine -- though we are closing in on their snail-mail address,
but we are forwarding this letter to Federalist Patriots around the
world in the hope you good people will forward it to as many other
Patriots as possible to rally prayer and support for our fellow
Marine, Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun. Should these al-Qa'ida pigs
spill his blood, we want them to rest assured that the contents
of this letter will eventually be nailed to their foreheads. Thank
you for your assistance.)

To al-Qa'ida terrorists in Iraq:

I see that you have captured a U.S. Marine, and that you plan
to cut off his head if your demands are not met. Big mistake.
Before you carry out your threat I suggest you read up on Marine
Corps history. The Japanese tried the same thing on Makin
Island and in a few other places during World War Two, and came
to regret it. Go ahead and read about what then happened to the
mighty Imperial Army on Tarawa, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. They paid
full price for what they did, and you will too.

You look at America and you see a soft target, and to a large
extent you are right. Our country is filled with a lot of spoiled
children who drive BMWs, sip decaf lattes and watch ridiculous
reality TV shows. They are for the most part decent, hard working
citizens, but they are soft. When you cut off Nick Berg's head
those people gasped, and you got the media coverage you sought,
and then those people went back to their lives. This time it
is different. We also have a warrior culture in this country,
and they are called Marines. It is a brotherhood forged in the
fire of many wars, and the bond between us is stronger than
blood. While it is true that this country has produced nitwits
like John Kerry, Michael Moore, Howard Dean and Jane Fonda who
can be easily manipulated by your gruesome tactics, we have
also produced men like Jason Dunham, Brian Chontosh and Joseph
Perez. If you don't recognize those names you should. They are all
Marines who distinguished themselves fighting to liberate Iraq,
and there will be many more just like them coming for you.

Before the current politically correct climate enveloped our
culture one of the recruiting slogans of our band of brothers was
"The Marine Corps Builds Men." You will soon find out just how
true that is. You, on the other hand, are nothing but a bunch of
women. If you were men you would show your faces, and take us on
in a fair fight. Instead, you are cowards who hide behind masks
and decapitate helpless victims. If you truly represented the
interest of the Iraqi people you would not be ambushing those who
come to your country to repair your power plants, or sabotage the
oil pipelines which fuel the Iraqi economy. Your agenda is hate,
plain and simple.

When you raise that sword over your head I want you to remember
one thing. Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun is not alone as he kneels
before you. Every Marine who has ever worn the uniform is there
with him, and when you strike him you are striking all of us. If
you think the Marines were tough on you when they were cleaning
out Fallujah a few weeks ago you haven't seen anything yet. If you
want to know what it feels like to have the Wrath of God called
down upon you then go ahead and do it. We are not Turkish truck
drivers, or Pakistani laborers, or independent contractors hoping
to find work in your country. We are the United States Marines,
and we will be coming for you.

Patriot, the most widely read conservative e-journal on the
Internet. If you have not already joined the ranks of Patriots

    When a Marine tough-talks you, it ain't a threat, it's a promise.

They'd better release him in good health and with an apology if they know what's good for them.

As scary as this is for me, I agree with EMM this time.

They had better find a nice deep hole to crawl in and pull it in after.

Not to sound gruesome, but one hopes the marines can find the heads that are behind this despicable act of cowardice.

This would be a very foolish thing for them to do...Cut the head off of a Marine, Army, Air Force or Navy person. They would see revenge like they have never seen. I don't know if even these dirtbags are dumb enough to do something like that.

It was reported today that Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun was a deserter who was trying to make his way back to his birth land, Lebanon. Anyone else hear that?

ndbilly--That is true according to the accounts that I have heard. Then again, we live in an age of misinformation and disinformation that may actually be intended to save his rear end. Is it possible that he would be released if he was viewed as a worthless captive? Probably not. I don't think they are looking for unblemished lambs to sacrifice. I have heard some say that he is a deserter who may end up dying a deserter's death. I don't care. No human being deserves to go out that way. There has been a HUGE push to recruit Arabic linguists. They were offering double-credit awhile back for someone that could produce an Arabic-speaking individual that could meet security requirements for a top-secret clearance. Is it possible that he merely wanted to be a translator and wound up somewhere he didn't expect to be? I won't speculate on his guilt or innocence with regards to the crime of desertion. No human being deservs to go out that way and nobody in the USMC deserves to be dishonored in this manner. No Sailor, Airman, Soldier or Marine deserves death without a fair trial or at least the opportunity to spill the enemy's blood. The cowards don't have the testicles to put a rifle in his hand and make it a fair fight. Credit that to the reputation of the Marine Corps. All you Marines have my deepest respect. You've earned it as have those who came before you.

    God Bless the USMC.

    Good post HAIRY.

Idsman - One of the things that pi**es me off so much about news reporting is the tendency to tell only that part of the story that suits the purposes of the reporter or the reporter's master. Tell the truth, all of it, and let the person reading the report decide. The facts are that this guy was kidnapped and he was at least AWOL when that happened. There may be a hundred reasons why and there may extenuating circumstances out the ying yang. That he was snatched was referenced in the letter Hairy posted. That he was AWOL was not. It has a bearing on the story.

ndbilly: You are right, of course. But perhaps the idea that he was AWOL was circulated to create the impression that his death would not mean as much, thus, he could be freed without loss of "face" by the butchers. [;)][}:)]

I don't think that they would care about that. They have a US marine and that is all that they would care about!

The story changed today, but the Marines won't confirm. He may have been working with some Iraqi civilians that sold him out. He has been taken off the A.W.O.L. list, and is now listed as captured.

ndbilly--Preparation and manipulation of the battlefield by the gathering of information and the dissemination of disinformation and misinformation for the purpose of saving lives occurs constantly. I'd say that the circulation of such a rumor would be worth it if the bad guys decided to play "catch-and-release" with him. It's like going fishing without a license and catching a carp. Do you risk a fine over a carp? He!! no. I'll bet the USMC has more than just a fine in mind for this @$$-clown.

Even if he was AWOL. I don't care. He's still an American. I could get in a real beef with one of my co-workers who turns out to be a real @$$-hole. However, I'll back him up in a bar because that's MY @$$-hole friend and nobody is screwing with him. This Marine is still an American and a Marine and has not been tried by court-martial. Until that happens, he's still my brother and your @$$ is toast if you touch a hair on his head.

idsman - Whoa there, amigo. Have one of my Xanax. Two if you'd like. I wanted to point out that a germane part of this story was missing from the letter Hairy posted. I don't wish this lad ill nor do I wish to fight him in a taproom. And BTW, a 10 pound carp caught on light tackle is a hell of a lot of fun.

ndbilly--None of my angst was directed towards you. I just felt like making my feelings known because I've heard some folks talk about his AWOL status as if it lessened the significance of his sacrifice.

I've never caught a carp. I've only been fishing for crappie and I'm not very experienced with a line and a pole. It's hard enough to hunt things that I can see walking along on the ground in front of me. Trying to catch things that are under the water and aren't visible at all would frustrate the heck out of me.

Have you ever caught a drum fish? I was told that they are comparable to carp. A friend of mine caught a HUGE drum fish (often called "white bass" in the Missouri river area of the midwest) and we cooked it on the fire in butter and garlic. That was GREAT eating!
