school hands out guns

Well, not exactly but after reading about all the freak schools that suspend a student for drawing a picture of a gun or pointing a finger at someone as though it were a gun I find this refreshing.........my son just completed final exams for 9th grade. After the exams were over the school and teachers handed out squirt guns and allowed the syudents to have fun shooting each other with the water! I live in southern Missouri. I left Illinois a year ago because the anti-gun climate there was so bad.

I argued with her for a week on the topic of the second amendment. Now at high school everyone knows im into guns and in the nra. They are always saying that someone better be nice to me or i may go after them... retarted

Beantole: That was refreshing for a change.

Trooper chin: I figured that UNICEF always stood for "useless nations
inciting communist eager falsehoods". Same as U.N. should be "useless
nations". Dont let us allow the U.N. to take over our laws of this
country while we are still alive and strong.

Trooperchin, I thought you said that your username was a combination of your job (Trooper) and your name (Chin). What sort of trooper can one be in high school?

Yeah Missouri! You in southeast or southwest Missouri beantole? I am in northeast now but come from the St. Louis area. I remember stories the generation above me used to tell about carrying their shotgun to school to get some dove hunting in afterwards. Try that today! Nevertheless, east central Missouri still represents during deer and turkey seasons when 25% or so of the male population in high school mysteriously didn't show up for class or did so in Realtree.

By the way, how many people from Missouri are on here? I counted maybe 5 recently. What a great state, I wonder if I will ever leave it?

The school systems of today just plain SUCK!! The Fedcoats just hope that parents don't care what their children are learning, as long as their grades are good.

I live in Lawrence Co. in S.W. Missouri. We have had hunter ed. classes taught in our schools. What I like best is our sheriff's office. While most counties around here make you pay $10. and wait a couple of days for a pistol permit, our sheriff has set the fee at $5. and you are checked on the spot and usually walk out with a permit in less than 20 minutes. I've been there so many times they don't even call downstairs on me, just hold out their hands for the money.

Car sickness is the feeling you get when you send in the monthly payment.

I was in a Nebraska high school last fall (during deer season). Actually, it was a school that consolidated K-12. I was looking at some poetry/art displays on the wall. The students drew elaborate pictures around the poems that they had written on posterboard. One of the poems had the picture of a deer and a man shooting at it with a rifle. The poem contained a line about the author stalking his pray through the woods with his .44 Magnum. Very cool and the school was cool with it too.
