Did the idsman make the trip all right? Did you show him around? Will Leonard Wood ever be the same? GHD

As soon as he shoots that 454, he'll be looking for a 480 Ruger.

Who you kidding? I'm looking for a 480! I was thinking of necking down the 480 to fit a .454 bullet in it, then having it rebarreled and see what I can get out of it. I'll call it the 454 Rig, like a 357 Sig, he, he!, like a big rig, ya know? Too much time on my hands. Guess I'd have to have the cylinder remade too huh, those bullets would need special chambers or they'd be a little sloppy. I wonder if the cylinder walls could take the pressure?? Probably not.

    GHD,
Everything is cool with Idsman. I just got an email from him, seems as if hes gotten himself into a heck of a lot more than what he knew was coming in the lines of schooling. Hes VERY busy with it! We'll be getting together before next week though, I'll keep you posted! He'd have gotten with me sooner, but someone is always on the puter and he cant get anything but a busy signal when he calls, I'm an idiot, shoulda got two lines.

Glad to hear he made the trip safely!! I shot another 17 tonite that I bought off of GB for a friend. Not all are created eqaully!!! This one will rag a hole at 100 but is 2.5 inches right at 200! To fix it, I'd have to screw the barrel off, face it and rethread it!! I'll just take him the 100 yard target and the beautiful gun and let him shoot varmints to his heart's content!! He ain't going to kill many at 200 yards though!!! Shot Sarah's XP tonite and it shot a .205 @ 100 yards!!!!! That's undoubtedly the best I've shot with either one of the 7BR's!!!! That was with the holosight!!!! GHD

Sarge!! That was ugly!!! I don't shoot them everynight to my heart's content!!! I try to shoot something everyday that I can. I punch a bunch of paper and don't have to kill something to be happy!! Hunting to my heart's content would be everyday, sun-up till sundown, groundhogs, prariedogs, coyotes, foxes!!! But like you, I have to still try to make some semblance of a living!! Thank You and all the rest of the Service guys for doing what you do!!! GHD

Oh thats swell! Now I'm ugly, and dont get to shoot as much as you, gee thanks buddy! Then to rub it all in using your daughter to make me feel bad, cause she's gonna be a shooter and mine probably isnt going to be, thats just wrong man, wrong, all wrong!!!! Boy just wait till I get to visit you, I'm gonna kill every ground hog you have, then you'll be stuck with nothing but paper to shoot, ha, yeah, I gotcha, oh yeah, dont worry, I'm gonna kill all those little hogs for you, then what are you gonna do? DONT GO THERE, DONT SAY IT, I know you probably have more deer than 7mm does, dont you? DONT TELL ME ITS SO!!!!! Lifes not fair,(crying), why cant I just have some fun?! See ya later GHD, gotta PT at 0500, yeah, rub that in too, I know I know, you have to get up early and catch the hogs eating, uh huh, I hear you.

Gentlemen, all this pot-stirring without me! heh heh heh

I relapsed into an illness that I was experiencing earlier last week so I was unable to make the drive when I wanted to. I drove down Saturday evening and arrived around 7am on Sunday. I didn't realize that there was a 1500 formation on Sunday so I had to do some running around with my head chopped off so that I could make a bunch of purchases BEFORE the formation. I've been averaging 3 hours of sleep per night--homework until 1am and then back up at 4am for a physical training workout. The humidity down here is killer. I sweat buckets but the physical fitness test on Tuesday went well. I'll be giving robsguns a call tomorrow night. Most of the weekend will be spent doing homework for next week but I will definitely make time this weekend to hang out with Mr. .454 ! This is the third time I've been to Fort Leonard Wood and, like my previous experiences, there isn't a whole lot to do around here so I don't think getting into trouble will be an issue. A trip to Bass Pro Shops in Springfield will definitely be in order one of these weekends.

Well, the homework was over early this evening so I think I'm going to get an extra hour of sleep tonight.

    Sleep well everyone!

Talk to you tomorrow night SSgt Roberts.
