How long is too long?

I know I already brought this up but I was wondering if anyone is having issues with sellers in the NYC area. I have a seller to whom I sent 135.00 for some AR-15 magazines. Apparently he is an iron-worker and claims that he has been working 20-hour days at the WTC and just hasn't been able to get to the post office. I inquire politely about once a week and he keeps telling me "soon, soon". Today I asked for a refund or the magazines. Is that too much to ask or was I being unreasonable? What would be a reasonable time to wait for shipment? Didn't they say that this cleanup process could take 6+ months?

On their own dime, a company flew me out for interviews & facility tours. I even met with the VP of Manufacturing and felt it went very, very well. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since that day, and I still haven't gotten any feedback.

At first, the recruiter who contacted me for the company said no news is a good sign, because usually if a company isn't interested, they're quick to say "thanks, but no thanks." But when I followed up again with him last week, he acted frustrated with me and said this in an email:

quote:I think it's going to be quite a bit longer than you must think it's going to be.

If you're needing an answer very soon, just assume that they're not moving forward at this point. If something changes, I'll let you know right away.

No, I don't need an answer right away, but IMO they're being rude. I know they had other candidates that they were working with, as well, but to me 3 weeks is too long to leave someone on the hook with no feedback.

How long is it acceptable to wait in your car, in the way, waiting for someone to back out so you can pull in?

Was at the grocery store just now, waiting for this older gentleman to back out and leave. ?Soon as he does this little red car w/ a coupla delinquents in it darts around my passenger side and takes the spot!!! ?He did it so quick and at such a harsh angle he wasn't even parked right.

I roll my window down as they're getting out, and I'm speechless, the only thing I think of to say is "are you serious?" incredulously. ? At the same time I was saying this the female security guard comes up to the driver and tells him "Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to slow down and drive more carefully in our lot".

I said, "Heck with that, ask him to move!" She says she can't do that. ?

WTH, 20 yrs ago I woulda cussed him, and drove off. ?I don't know what the deal is, I wasn't that mad at the time but the more I sit here at home thinking about it the more pissed about it I get.

I won an ammo auction on the 2nd. I immediately (same night) sent an email asking where they wanted payment sent to. They responded on the 3rd. Sent the money order and all my information, including the auction reference, on the 4th. As of yesterday, the 14th I hadn't heard anything.

Last night I sent out another email, basically saying 'haven't heard from you, has the order shipped, tracking #?, etc.' Not rude, short and sweet, inquiring.

This morning I get an email back from the seller saying essentially 'out of town. call (###) ###-#### for information'. That's it.

They're in NY, I'm in CO.

Does this sound about right for time, or should I be getting upset? I don't feel like I should have to spend my $ to call long distance to get status, and that the seller should be able to provide it. Am I off base here?
