Possibly a silly question but here goes: Are Taurus 92/99 mags interchangable with Beretta mags and will Beretta 92 mags fit in a Taurus 92/99 series. I have a friend who is going out of the business and he has quite a few Beretta mags that he will let me have cheap if they will fit. Thanks for your info.

When I first got my Taurus back in 90' they were NOT interchangable. The notch in the magazine was in different locations. To the best of my knowledge, that hasn't changed. However, I did just get a copy of the latest HQ catalog and they are offering mags for the Tauras and Beretta and the part number is the same and if you look at the pictures closely, there is a mag with 2 notches in it. So, that leads me to believe factory mags are probably still not interchangable but there may be some after market mags floating around that do. FWIW, my PT92 never liked aftermarket mags!GL

Also, if the cost is cheap and they're 15rd mags, you might want to think about buy them anyways. You could probably sell them for more or use them as items for trading. Just a thought!

Thanks Green lantern. I have a 99AF. I won't be able to test your theory until probably next week. I don't even know if they are factory or not. But your other idea is also a good one for future reference. Thanks again.

A GI-issue Beretta magazine (Made in Italy) did not fit the Tarus when I tried it a year ago. No. I didn't steal the magazine. I was trying it out of curiosity. It was turned back into the armorer after that.
