I don`t mean much by this ,but did the Huskers belong in a championship this time around?And if you will recall,I predicted,a couple weeks ago,something like Canes-42,Huskers-17.Well the score was 37,14,maybe a good team just got globbered by a killer team.I never saw either team play all year,as I`m trying to quit wasting time on such things.But I still would like to see someone here give a little credit where it is due.HOW BOUT DEM CANES!!!!!!!!!.218[This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 01-08-2002).]

    I tried to tell all these Californians about them 'Canes. I guess folks like to lose their money.

    BEEN BETTER IF IT WAS "HOW BOUT THEM LONGHORNS"!...but the Buffs kicked our butts.Have always liked BOTH Florida univ. teams, always seem to have an overstock of good coaches and players...with no end in sight.
    "ANY" EXCUSE IS A GOOD REASON TO BUY "JUST 1 MORE".& VICIE-VERSIE!

    Did you hear about the bet that Jeb Bush and the Governor of Nebraska made before the game? Apparently the Gov. of Nebraska owes Mr. Bush some Nebraska beef. Jeb stood to lose a bunch of crab legs. If you ask me, Jeb had the better half of the bet. I'll take midwest beef over the "cockroach of the sea" any day of the week. I live right on the border between NE and IA just on the IA side. Trust me, the week leading up to the Rose bowl was HOT around here with controversy over the subject.

    I doubt you know what yer talkin` about this time ids,we don`t have any crabs with marketable legs down here.It was likely Stone Crab Claws,and you Hayseeds don`t know what yer missin`.My family has been in this business for a long time...my uncles were the first to comercialize stone crab claws,they kept getting in their fish nets,so they decided to build traps..218 [This message has been edited by 218Beekeep (edited 01-09-2002).]

    Sir Lord Beekeper--- Yes indeed. You hit the nail on the head. I apologize for my inaccuracy. It was indeed stone crab claws.I do recall eating some excellent seafood in Clearwater, FL.
