Customs seizes hundreds of thousands of dollars packed in cereal boxes Chicago-AP -- That's a lot of dough. But it's not breakfast food.Customs agents say they found bundles of cash totaling more than 644-thousand dollars inside cereal boxes in a traveler's checked luggage at Chicago's O'Hare airport.The money was in five family-size boxes of cereal. Staffers spotted it during an X-ray screening of outbound luggage Thursday night.The traveler, a U-S citizen headed to Amman, Jordan, was given the opportunity to report the money to Customs. He did so, but failed to report another seven-thousand dollars or so in his wallet.Customs agents seized the money under civil statutes covering money laundering. They're trying to find its source, and the destination.The passenger wasn't arrested. No terrorism links are suspected.
