I used to think that people who got too attached to their dogs were silly. Then we got one. He's had some trouble with seizures this winter, and we thought we were going to lose him when he had 3 in a row, so you have my sympathies. At least she went peacefully.

Sorry for you loss legn4...Our 17 year old cat passed on this last weekend. It has been tougher on the kids than I though it would be. As with yours he went peacefully.... [This message has been edited by William81 (edited 01-10-2002).]

I have a 5 year old Shar Pei, and no wife or kids, so you may imagine that I'm attached to my dog. I take good care of her and hope she has a long happy life with me. I heard somewhere that all dogs want to do is please their master, so if you'll just train them properly to please you they'll be delighted to do it. I try to remember that. She's a great companion. I find myself going to fewer and fewer places where she's not welcome.

I have a half Black lab/Australian Sheperd. That is my best buddy. I don't even want to think about him not being around.

Sorry for your loss legn4, but you had all of her love for more than 15 years, and I'm sure she had a wonderful home.
