Non-religious (pure military tactical stuff...)

Over-extension ......

Facts: US arsenal was depleted in afganistan ....

It will take 2 to 5 years to replenish to pre-war status ....

Manufacture power in the US is a mere 1/60 of 1944 level

Tactical suplys are too centralized and sensitive to devices of
Mass destruction.

Wile US is bragging it's muscle Iran, Irak, and libia are obtaining
Hypersonic otomats 7SH and exoxets 9B (stealth) ship to ship missiles
from France (under the rug) and frog 10S missiles from china ....

Irak also obtained new Passive radar to shoot down stealth aircraft.
(Uses backgrownd radiation to detect planes..)

Libia currently is developing an early warning battle aircraft with china as to use as counter-measures to US systems in a future Europe invasion (If they invade this next winter consider nato fried ) as they also depleted their arsenals....

Fact: The more US waits to realize the gross under estimate of the force needed to deal with the situation the more we see the posibility of a nuclear confrontation ,as time passes the "axis" is becoming aware they will be attacked anyway and may take massive action in advance ,US with 246 cruise missiles left ,nearly no ammo left for it's men and using predator ships made in Afganistan and India, with chips made in taiwan surely cannot hope to win a war ....
to such an EXTENSION .... more if Pakistan and India nuke each other
provably before this summer end. (US will be blamed "and Nuked also for providing intelligence to the "other side" )

So keep your guns well oiled , US for the first time will have to fight an invading army ....600 million strong!

THEEE POWEERRRR OF THE EVVVIILLLL AXIS !!! (OPS! Sorry I said no religion) Consider it military propaganda to enhance national moral
as to a fight for GODLY cause.....

Definitely quite a war on terror.....

    Dread,
Ya know, I dont know if your facts are straight, but if they are, that was a good post, that I understood. I was thinking exactly what you wrote by the end of the post, I better keep my guns and ammo ready, shoot, might need them at work.
If you need an editor, start sending me your stuff, and I'll help you out with the spelling, honest. Not ragging on you about it, we did that a long time ago, I remember. Its really nice to see you're back Dread. Where were you anyway?

Judge....you got to get those 600 million here somehow. The Chinese don't even have enough sealift to ensure the success of an invasion of Taiwan. Imagine the fun the US and Canadian Navies would have sinking the Chinese invasion fleet for a couple of weeks. Of course it would feed the sharks for a long long time.

As far as stealth technology in Libya...seeing is believing. Old Miramar Gaddafi has been very very quiet since he was last spanked. I'd expect if he steps out of line he'll get spanked again.

As far as passive IR anti-ship missiles no doubt the Exocet is pretty good...but it isn't 10 feet tall. I wouldn't rate it ahead of our own Harpoon. For pure passive missiles most people rate the Norwegian Penguin missile as exceptional and ahead of the Exocet even if it isn't as powerful. Of course things change and I might be behind the power curve on this one. But the one thing you have to remember is that the enemy missile ships have to make it to the launch point to inflict any damage....and as long as we have the finest submarine fleet in the world those ships will just be fun targets for the bubbleheads. And I honestly don't think any of those missiles once in flight would present a challenge to the Aegis missile system on many of our surface combatants. Beach

Dread--I'll agree with you on one point that I know to be true. We used to be a nation of producers. We are rapidly moving towards a nation of retail. Import it real cheap and sell it to someone else for a profit. Yes, we still produce quite a bit and probably more than any other nation but the whole retail concept is going to kill us. The local economy where I am at is DRIVEN by retail. One guy getting bum pay at a retail joint going and buying products at another retail joint so some other guy behind the counter can get bum pay. There aren't enough producers around here

Do we make our bombs here in the U.S.A. or are they made in Communist China like everything else?
Here's something to ponder,,how many of those big freighter ships from communist china dock at our shores daily? Is it in the hundreds, thousands? If those canisters were full of commie chineese they could invade and take over Kjaliforeignja before we knew what was happening. The citizens there have had their weapons taken away from them, so they have no way to defend themselves. The commies, then, from their newly formed base use it as a foothold to take over the U.S.A.
But wait,,I am not done!! The commies make a pact with Mexico to give them money and land in exchange for free access to their country to enter the U.S.A from the South. The commies own the Panama Canal right?
Hey,,this would make a good movie,,anybody got Stephen Segal's phone number??

Wow! You guys watch too much T.V. Lay off the "Movies for guys who like movies" please. Although I do think we'll have to defend our home some day I don't get everyone all worked up. That just makes everyones trigger finger twitch. Was it LIKTOSHOOT that said B.R.A.S.S BREATH, RELAX, AIM, SOMETHING, SQUEEZE. If we are attacked we'll have to think clearly and shoot calmly to do a good job!

Scary thought. How about all those SKS's, AK's, and 7.62X39 ammo floating around in our neighborhoods. Hey! They've already imported their small arms. Big Bro confiscates them and hands them out to Haunchu Charlie. Just a thought. Wow! I got some of those but just a few.

    Here is something to ponder:
May of 2001.Cuba signed a "military technology exchange"treaty with Communist China(what that entails, one can only imagine).
The Zapatista Rebels in the southern parts of Mexico(who get much of their financial backing from protecting the drug trade routes through
Mexico[don't forget those border incursions!]),are a communist faction. The Zapatist movement has gotten so strong, that they are being considered for recognition by the Mexican government,as a legit
    political party!
Communism in Russia may be dead,But in other parts of the world it is
    alive and kicking!

Let's be thankful of our ability to mass produce. Prior to WWI and WWII are arsenals were in pitiful condition. Once we gear up war machine manufacturing it's amazing what our country is able to achieve.

Judge Dread, I think your initial statement was based on current production status and not if we go all out. As far as current inventory levels I am confident you are correct.

To stimulate the economy it's time to gear up, replinish our arsenals, and support our troops.

The only way to defeat the United States in war would be a complete nuclear world war and that would destroy every living soul on earth. That would mean nobody wins. They have a better chance of destoying America by leaving us alone and letting our own liberal lawmakers and politcians compromise our individual rights and freedoms to the point that we become communists by default...

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

I don't think nuclear is the only way to defeat the U.S.Moving people
(terrorists) in to the U.S. for a decade, through legal and illegal
means,we could already have an occupying army in our midsts.Spend the better part of that decade moving into positions of importance, jobs
that give people(terrorists) access to infrastructure sensitive positions. We have
millions of square miles of undeveloped wilderness,so hiding many small groups of people with small arms is no big feat.
Al-queda has demostrated their ability to plan and and carry out
very elaborate terror missions. With the assistance,or even the outright participation,of communist factions in Mexico and Central
America,I don't know how anyone can't see the plausability of such
    a scenario!
The United States is vunerable!Mexican military border incursions
have proved its no big deal getting into this country! And by the time they are here it may be to late for our military to respond!
I know it all sounds like paranoia to a lot of people,but...I'd rather
err on the side of paranoia, than on the side of complacentcy and arrogance.

man, you guys worry too much. while all the enemies of the US might me getting new technology, that stuff is from practically ten years ago. they are anything but cutting edge, which is what the US has. and even with all that stuff, they have no means by which to attack the US directly. they lack ICBM's and all that. lay off all the late night anti-commie flicks guys and spend some more time at the range or something.

The "invasion" would be easy...after half our population is wiped-out by "small" pox.

    Forget about vaccine!

"The Axis" is working on a mutated camel pox virus making it lethal to humans; most people of Middle Eastern decent have immunity factors in their blood protecting them from infection.

The "second invasion of America" will be similiar to the first; viruses will kill more than the invaders...

I have to agree with 4GodandCountry: Piss us (the USA) off to much, we go nuclear and solve all the world problems. They have to know that a direct confrontation will never suceed, we will launch and there will be nothing left to squabble over. Therefore they win nothing.

Judge Dread: The power of total wartime production in 1944, was awesome. However economically and realistically that level could never have been maintained, unless the USA was going to take over the world. Which it is not. That mobilization could be repeated if necessary, and if the situation were to present itself would happen, and whomever caused that mobilization would soon find themselves in dire straits.
And yes any emeny of the US would have better luck supporting the liberals, as their way of thinking would be more likely to bring us down, than invasion.

If we as a nation, wish to continue to exist as an icon of freedom and justice, we must not allow political correctness or world opinion handcuff and blindfold our military. We must unleash the dogs of war and be willing to accept the consequences and the fact that people will die, men, women and children. The only way to stop the cycle of violence is total annihilation of the source. If we fail to act indescriminatly we will merely cause the disease to spread. Did we as a nation care about the feelings of the German people or the Japanese people during WWII. Hell No we didn't, because we were right, we were the victoms not them, they attacked us. But now we worry about an afghani whos house was blown up and people clammer to get him restitution. Its absurd, we bomb the piss out of them and then drop them food, what the hell are we doing? The world is now facing as big of threat from the Islamic extremists as we did from Hitler or Hirohito. We cannot afford to play games with what is at stake. Our nation will endure only if we toss aside this make believe fairy tale dream of the whole world united in a giant group hug. We need to open our eyes and absorb the reality that is about to devour us. The majority of the inhabitants on this planet hate America and Americans. They envy us for our freedom, wealth and prosperity and they would like nothing more than to see us destroyed. We should make an example of the next country that attacks our nation. We should be swift and merciless with our reaction. We should be just as indiscriminant with our retaliation as they are when they attack us. We should retaliate in a mannor that would make anyone cringe in terror at the thought of provoking our nation into battle. This is the only way to deter terrorism. Fight fire with fire, fight terror with more terror....

Judging from latest big General "quiting" the top "maybe" 5 more top
    men will quit too....

White House "insides" are in turmoil as the evident overextension of
US becomes evident ,either the production machine is started now or
    America perishes .....

The problem is our nation was grabbed by the balls of greed with cheap foreing labor and Big local companys taking over the small guys
the small guys being the real "production" power in the US ..

US has become home to a bunch of assembler factorys, with no real production capability ,as long our cruiser missile Q prossesor says "made in HK China" ,we do have a big problem.....

I will buy a machine tool as soon I can ,maybe I can use it someday
to built "American" weapons with it ....

Dread: You don't get out much, do you? Most all machine tools, CNC types, are made off shore. The ones that are stamped "Made in America" are actually assembled in the US from off shore parts. If you get a chance to visit a WESTEC show, it will be a real eye opener.

Yo Judge,, I think I've got this figured out...The Commies parachute into the Rocky Mountains. They take the whole area over. They shoot a bunch of people and put the rest into concentration camps. But a small group of young boys make it out to the mountains and start making life miserable for the commies. Then a farmer gives them two girls!!! They go from killing commies with bows and arrows to AK-47's and RPG's. This is starting to make sense, it could happen this way,,whoa wouldn't this make a good movie!!

The USA always fights with one nuclear hand tied behind its back. We've never seen the biggest H-bombs in the modern arsenal detonated. They would make the Hiroshima bomb look like back yard fireworks. If people think their god is great -- enough to successfully overcome the US -- it's because their minds have no point of reference to imagine the size of the biggest single modern US nuclear weapon. The rest of the world should consider itself fortunate that the US is founded on principles like human rights and brotherly love. They haven't seen authentic imperialist bullies since the Soviet Union crumbled, and even they were held in check by us. People in foreign countries have the luxury of not witnessing the nuclear levelling of entire countries largely BECAUSE we are who we are and stand for what we stand for. There is little or no appreciation of that these days.

It certainly doesn't mean we would not use the most powerful weapons to assure the survival of the USA, however. There is little appreciation of that, either, it seems.

    Offerer,

You say "we" would still use the bomb to defend our country, I can only assume you mean the we that make up this board. I'm not completely convinced that the political machine that makes up Washington could or would. They would be so busy taking opinion polls on the repercussions of such a decsion that the option might be lost. If you speak of we as a nation or society, we are so worried about collateral damage, and endagered species, and ozone layers, and rain forrests, and rising global temperatures, and the humane treatment of those who try to kill us, I don't know if we as a nation have the resolve to resort to the most drastic measures of defense. I hope, but I'm not convinced.
