Big Pa. Black Bear and this time I got it right!!

The game commission trapped this nuisance bear and we helped them pull it out of the trap, weigh it, pull a tooth to determine age, and tag the ear. The kids love to pet Mr. Bear, he is sleeping but his eyes are open and he is well aware of what is going on around him!
They injected him with the Date Rape Drug to put him under! And no Harleyman, I can;t get you any!
They estimated him to weigh about 450 pounds, we had one hell of a time stuffing him back into the can so they could take him to release!

    Well, dangit, Pa, how old is it???
    I looked at the pic at first, thought "that aint near that big.", then I took a look at the head, and that's a big bear!!!
    The biggest I ever saw on the scales where I hunt was a shade over 350. Never really could get into hunting them, though. Always thought it would be like gutting a fat, hairy man. Is Rosie around?

    Ill have to check on the age and get back to you, they told me that they saw the tooth in half, and they count the growth rings to determine the age! Oh by the way the guy in the blue on the left weighs #300 lbs and you will notice that he is quite a bit smaller than the bear!!

    Right click on picture, pick "save picture as" then choose a location, (file folder on your 'puter) to save it into. Then you can save it as what it is already called, or rename it.

    I think the practice of ear tagging and pulling a tooth to determine age should not be limited to bears, but applied to all nuisances caught in the commission of a felony.
