I saw Amercan Shooter tonight and it had Bob Munden on it showing people how to point shoot.Well it showed him with a 1911 style .45 it didnt say but it looked like a Ed Brown Bobtail.I have seen him do his S/A shooting before and was impressed but he un-loaded a 1911 .45 in under 2 seconds asnd all his shots were on point and he wasnt even aiming it was all hip shots. He is one damn good exhibition shooter.I have seen him do is fast draw and he is the fastest I have ever seen but I didnt know he worked with auto-loaders till tonight. He is pretty good I have to say.

I saw him in a video once one TV, and I have a buddy who's met him in person.

I wonder who'd win in a gunfight between him and Jerry Miculek?

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Saw him in person at the SHOT Show in Vegas a few years back. Stood in awe at his handling demo with two SAA of different brl lengths at the same time. TV makes him look good (physically) though, he is ALMOST as ugly as I am.

If you were impressed seeing him on American Shooter, go buy his video....he goes into great detail about techniques and methods. It shows him shooting 6 shots from a single action so fast it sounds like one shot.

There are some excellent videos of some deceased greats, one of the best was Herb Parson's "Showman Shooter". He was a trick shooter for Winchester in the 50's. Bill Jordan's tape is worth getting also.

I've had the opportunity to work with a number of exhibition shooters for various events over the years. Joe Bowman from Texas is another good one with handguns. Some of the Shotgun trick shooters that do a pretty fair job are Kimberly Rhode, Bob Allen, John Satterwhite, John Kruger, and Ron Schears.

The man is an awesome shot, but remember some of it is "Movie Magic" look closely during the American Shooter segments, usually when he is doing exhibition shooting, he uses those SA's he is famous for. Usually at his feet, there is a bucket of shells, note the amount of shells during his intro and then the number after a round, the bucket seems to empty pretty quick.
