ding ding ding !!!
Though I wish I had purchased a long while back, I am very pleased to see it coming on up.
I know someone is about to come along and say how the silver bubble is about to pop.
Hang on real tight to your FRN's.
Toilet paper is much softer.

Whats your target?
I have some war nickels and some 40% halves I would sell.
Hangin on to the dimes, quarters, and a few morgans.
at current prices, you could make money if you could find someone to melt 'em and cast .999 silver bars, which will be the day to day currency for small purchases if the SHTF.
just my 2c
tom
What I mean is, what price are ya sellin' at?
I will sell the aforementioned for melt value now, or melt value next week, whatever that is at the time.
I need to invest in "other metals".
.308 168 grain BTHP is what I am seeking.
Mike
i wouldn't be celebrating this, it means we're screwed!

Not knockin' ya Tom, but a question. Do you really expect someone to accept silver for loaves of bread, potatoes, gasoline etc.? Would you accept them for such?
This belt will hold 20 quarters.
......and some FRN's
I am thinking I will hang onto mine in case paper money tanks
IN CASE????????
It's happening pal.
Right now the escalating price of silver and gold is outstripping the devalue of the dollar so it is not a lateral move it is certainly a win win if you bought silver and gold even a year ago.
The melt value of silver vs US 64 90% coins is at 24.5 times. That means a dime is worth right at $2.45 and a half dollar is worth $12.26 and that is if it is not "thin" meaning worn which reduces the weight of silver.
It is not just silver and gold that glitters these days. Copper, lead, grain and cotton to name a few are near or at record prices.
Ammo is expected to jump 20% or more because the prices of material dictate that.
Ammo and reloading components maybe something to stock up on right now

I went to the pawn shop "Pawn America", silver was at $ 19.00 an ounce. I asked what would you give me for a roll of these silver eagles. The girl looks at her computer for 5 minutes, rubs the coin, then weighs it, looks at the computer for another 5 minutes and announces $ 8.00 each.
So you better have some folding money around.
"what are these worth ?"
Better yet, do the research and tell them what you want......
i understand what you're getting at, but there has been a form of currency throughout history. hell, look at how they bought manhattan island!
personally, i think there will be three levels of trade
bartering goods and services. everyone will participate at some level
silver for larger purchases and the "middle class"
gold and gemstones for the "brokers" and wealthy
so, if someone wants to give me silver for a chicken, that's fine, i'll use the silver to buy gasoline to run my tractor. if someone wants to buy my tractor i'll accept gold. i'll use the gold to buy a new pickup, and on and on.......
Now here's a deal !
Not my auction or anything I know of or am related to !

Barz,
You earmark to leave in your bank account three thousand federal reserve notes.
You and the buyer of that silverware post here (if till can) in one year and share with all of us what happened.
Are you game?
Guess 10-12% "shrinkage" there.

With all the above considered, his starting price is right where silver is right now. I would imagine thats why hes only running the auction for 1 day. Tune in tomorrow to see a price change I'll bet.
So that's how much pots fetching nowadays...[:D]
looks like its down pretty well today. down 1.01 to $32.92
It is gonna do a lot of up and down for a while....
