I decided I wanted a new pocket knife for my hunting pack...I have mislaid a few knives while out hunting so I figure a blue one will be easier to locate. Besides that I have always liked Spyderco knives...

Very nice, but, my question is, do you only carry one knife and not on your belt? I carry three different knives on my belt when deer hunting: one a Swiss Army knife with a saw blade that I cut a deer in half with and then cut the hams apart to pack out of the woods. I admit it could be narrowed down to two knives.

This knife will be in my waist pack where I can easily reach it should I have a tree stand mishap and have to cut myself out of my harness or any other issues.

I have two other knives in my main pack for gutting, cleaning and skinning, a main one and a back up. So three knives not one....I quit wearing a big old knife on my belt years ago...too much catching it on things and noise issues for me....

Only three? My old Engineering Supervisor carried a minimum of NINE knives. He also kept 'loaners' in a drawer in case we forgot to 'get dressed' for work. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, in the department carried at least one knife.

And there were several knife catalogs passed around each month - one fella did all the ordering and distribution. Great times!

Best knife for pocket use ever
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

I picked this one up for EDC earlier this year. Under $100.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

I've ALWAYS carried a knife, even when in school.
Feel naked without one. A pocket knife in school, OMG a terrorist.[;)]

Good choice on the Blue color. I have a Queen 3 blade, stainless, think it is called a cattleman with Yellow handles that I carried and used for 30 years. Started carrying it as a teenager. (was given to me new as a gift for helping a old man neighbor) I could give it too my son and he would not know where it went next week. The sheeps foot blade looks like a leather punch. I could always see the yellow handles when I laid it down in the woods.

Why in heck do people think they need a camo knife.

Have a folding "utility knife" I carry overseas. ie: folding "sheet rock knife".

Ran out of blades a while back and found out they are "illegal". [:(] Sheetrock is NOT common because most roofs leak. Repair is in order when you run out of empty 5 gallon paint buckets to catch the water.

I grew up in a small rural Illinois town in the 60's and 70's. Most of the guys carried knives to school. No one thought a thing of it and I don't recall a single incident in all those years. Now a day, if a kid had a knife in a school in Illinois, the ERT team would be called in !!!!!

It cetrainly was a different World then. I remember bringing my Ithaca 12 guage and 4 boxes of shells to school on the bus. I was going hunting at a friend's house for the weekend. The gun was left with the principle during the day and given back to me at the end of the day...AS I said times sure have changed !
