Go to this link and type in your zip code and see how the eclipse will look for you.? It is pretty cool to fill in different zip codes.

ya it in itself is cool, but the influx of people is not and they are shutting down local government agencies and schools at taxpayers expense, hotels are booked for miles which is ok, but those that cannot find a place to stay are always a problem

Oregon is where the eclipse will first hit land. Wednesday there was a 30 mile traffic jam through a town of 6000 people.

A new forest fire started yesterday afternoon, and now there are going to be hundreds of thousands of clueless city dwellers running loose all thinking THEIR little campfires/cigarette butts/leftover fireworks won't be a problem in areas that haven't had any significant rain for almost two months...because they donate to Greenpeace.

I expect by Monday a good part of the state will be Medium Well.

I knew a dear 75 year old woman who never had a bad word to say about most anyone except MLK. Apparently he almost caused a race riot in St. Louis that wasn't reported but she was there.

10:17 AM Fog will not have lifted by then so all those folks that are coming to Oregon Will not see poop.[:D]

Folks are planning to go to the beach to see it, Hope they listen to the warning that at the time of the Eclipse there will be an extreme high tide.

And not only will there be fog but smoke from fires will also block it.

    Along with Partly Cloudy.

When the radio weather reciter stated that we should have clear skies and sun for the eclipse, it made me chuckle.

We will have 90%+ coverage at around 10:30 am.

That seems close enough to not have to worry about driving anywhere.

According to that link, if I just drive about an hour south I can see what is basically a total eclipse. They report that it will be about 90% here.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

I am going to make it home for the eclipse in the NC mountains.
    We will get 99 percent.
I have to drive through Ground Zero in S. Carolina, a day before the big show, on I 85. I hope the traffic jam is not too bad there on Sunday.

They say it will be 99.5% eclipse and 99% cloudy with rain. I think I'll take a flashlight.

My wife did get a couple pairs of viewing glasses. I see on that C- list they are going from $10.00-$50.00 a pair.[:0]

Much to do about nothing!!![|)] I do not see what all the hoopla is all about. It got dim here (94%) and it lasted a few minutes, I don't see why people would spend $100's or ever $1000's to see it!!![|)]

100% here in central Missouri.....it was a cool show sitting here in my driveway. Clouds obscured parts of it but almost cleared off for 30 seconds at the totality. The shadows around the yard were cool and it looked like sunset all the way around the yard.....

I enjoyed it and got a few decent pics too......

LMAO for those that paid big bucks to watch and the rain and clouds covered it up. I sat in My front yard and watch the full eclipse and then the clouds covered it up and everyone went home haha

It was worth way more for me than the cost of admission ...which was 2.00 for a pair of glasses. They were a bunch of folks in the larger towns near us that paid unbelievable prices for lodging or camping....to each their own I guess.
