I took a walk out to the patch in the back of our place for the first time since Deer Season ended...I changed out the game camera cards and got a lot of does, * and even rabbits. This guy has been "cating" around the place as I find his tracks from time to time.

Well that one is large enough to catch a deer..or jump on you. They are around in the daytime also. I never go in a woods out outdoors without a handgun.

I was hunting last year in a ground blind mid morning and a small doe came out in the lane about 150 yd away. She ran right toward the blind and right by it. 5 min later a Bobcat that size came out the same spot. It was following the doe. I let it walk about 100 yd from the blind and stuck a 150gr hornady .308 in its chest.

We have a Bobcat that treks across our back yard, down near the woods. Our neighbors have seen it, but we haven't, although I've found its tracks. We do have a much bigger kitty that occasionally shows up in our woods; both my wife and I have seen it!

I need to get off my butt and install the Outdoor NEST CAM on our back porch, which will record everything in our backyard and down to the woods. We might be shocked at what shows up at night! [:0]

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

    That's a real cool picture.
Time to start trapping and/or predator hunting.

Really something to see in person. I saw one not too far form here a few years back. Haven't seen one again but I'm sure they're around.

We have some bigger cats on amico island were the Delaware River meets the rancoacas creek (a confluence)

    There not bobcats...

Possible lynx or ocelot variations or mixes...

While they do harvest deer on the island is think that rabbit and turkey and feral housecat are a more likely food source...

Thanks for posting the pics and sharing the lore / stories.

Makaila has a girlfriend - coworker who has one of the bigger domesticated African cats (more than a big house cat - less than a cougar or catamount)

    A Savannah cat? They're beautiful!

bobcat or lynx? That's a huge bobcat!!
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

I don't think Missouri has any Lynx.

Maybe not, but they're finding cougars in places that "don't have them", so who knows.

He is a big one. I have others on the game camera and saw two during deer season, but this one is much larger than the others.
