Gave my older sister a computer setup two months ago and thought she would take it home, stash it in a closet and that would be it. Tonight I received an E-mail from her!! Is that wild or what.
Rosie the pretty AND happy one
BTW she's 65

I guess you know that you have probably created a computer monster.

Rosie, that was nice of you! Now you can keep in touch with her all the time! Sometimes it is the people you never think of that are the best with a computer! Hope all is well with you, Rosie!!

Ya know there's another cool part too. Sometime in the distant future you're going to remeber that you turned her on to the computer and it'll make you feel that you did something good. In giving we receive.

I gave my 70-year old mother a computer, paid for her ISP, and she is still afraid of it. She does email a little, a big advantage to her since some of her friends live in far-off countries.

My Mom and Aunt now have computers, thought it would be nice to stay in touch with email.....but they turned into cyber junkies....constantly forwarding junk email to me on a daily basis....who knows what you may have created.

    Rosie,
Great to hear about your sister...I am teaching a married couple right now on the comp.. 80 and 85 are their ages. Its hands on when they come down here, but while they are up north, its done using voice chat..they also send videos to the grandkids all over the world, and asked me if it was possible to talk to their granddaughter in Japan...I told them what to do, then sent instructions via email...and two days later, they were yakking up a storm via chat..

Comps arent just for kids.. Soon your sister will be all over the web... It was a very nice thing you did...

I built a PC for my Mom & Stepdad a few years ago, they caught on very quickly, my Mom is an Ebay freak now!

I built my Dad one this past winter so he could look at guns and hunting stuff online...how could I say no!!. I still get 2 tech support calls an evening, but he is amazed by what it can do

    I've created 2 monsters!

These were older computers that my company was replacing and I gave them away left and right after installing more ram in them. Still have three left that I'm going to keep. Ms. Beast you would know how this sorry old man was if you would e-mail him a little more often!
