North Idaho

Did any of you hear about the 2 deputies that had a little too much and decided to test fire a full auto? They did it off the balcony of their house later at night. Seems that some of the neighbors got a little up set. I told you that northern Idaho was crazy.

We are wrapping up our first week in the new home.

Last night a thunderstorm blew through and brought a hail storm of mainly 1/2" diameter with a lot of 3/4" diameter stones.

When I went outside to enjoy it, noticed three good sized elk loping down the driving range.

They were a hard seven or maybe a 3/4 six iron off the patio. Hail did not seem to bother them at all.

Lit'l different over there fer sure. I spent all day Saturday in Potlach and I was glad to back across the border.

One of the few places where guns on the gun racks are the norm in the high school parking lot.

The LEO's would not have sounded any alarms, but they filled the neighbors house and car with bullet holes.

lot's of full auto guns in this area in the hands of some people that are short a few bricks of a full load.

A hot barrel, is a warm fuzzy feeling.

This was not in N. Idaho, but about 75 miles north of my in a little town outside of Spokane WA, called Suncrest.

Not only 2 deputies were involved, but perhaps as many as 6 might be connected to the event.

It also was apparently not a "test fire" but a juvenile act of anger over being upset of the fact that the nieghbors kept calling 911 over the loud late night parties that these guys were having.

The wost part is that the Deputy who discharged the weapon was the the one who called 911- and then tried to mislead the responding officers into beliving that the shots fired were the result of a drive-by.

northern Idaho is a great place to visit and would be a nice place to live if not for some of the people.

Then again what do you expect when you have some of the poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich in an area like that?

As for the deputies - thank you for letting us know the whole story and where it really occurred. At times I get tired of northern Idaho getting the rap for everything.

ysacres - I though all high school kids had gun racks in the back of their pickups in small towns (and had their rifles in them)?
