I made one whole day without using my feeding machine to eat. I drank 5 cans of milk and some egg drop soup. I still could not get the noodles off my tongue. I had to rinse them out of my mouth. But at least now i can drink. Not drinking for 8 months thats pretty good. My tongue is still as big around as a 50 cent piece. Maybe when the swelling goes away i can move my tongue. David

What a week, stuck in "yankee land" all week. BTW I love to pick on them up there .218 and Salzo, I do not consider myself a southerner or a yankee, I'm neutral.Beach, yes I was outfitted proerly! Come to my truck while I'm sleeping and I'll show YA!! I consider anything east of I81 yankee land. I have nothing against any of them but I do wonder what they are all so mad about. I went to BJ's in Franklin Mass this week, asked a rent a cop( security guard) where I checked in at and I got on heck of a foul mouthed reply, I blushed. Any hows, I know yall didnt miss me but I'm back to harass and agitate for the weekend.

7mm: Welcome back. Have a question for you. Being from PA were you ever called or referred to as a Pennsyltuckian from Pennsyltucky? I often got this remark when delivering to the northeast. One guy on a dock in NYC said it was a insult refering to PA drivers being hillbillies and/or bastards of the south. Never bothered me considering the source of the comments but was just wondering how often other drivers from PA heard it.

Yeah I've heard that before and often wondered what it meant. Thought maybe somebody out there knew me. I was born in Ashland KY, lived in Sciota Furnace OH till I was five, mom moved me over here to PA and I been here since then.

uhh beach, let me refrase that, try to break into my truck anytime and see if I'm outfitted properly. Don't be talkin like no goodbuddy or I'll have to give you what we truckers call a CB asswoopin. I am an expert at cb rambo moves and I guarantee you I can hit you so hard thru the speakers that your grandkids will feel it!

7mm...I say again for possible penetration why would I be interested in anything of yours. I certainly can't think of any reason to view you as a good buddy. To the contrary much of what you say makes for little interest to me. You are intitled to your opinions and you have expressed them. What that has to do with me I'm not sure. But as far as giving me a "CB" * whopin(whatever that is) I can say that I view you as intellectually unarmed and my father always told me to be kind to those less fortunate than ourselves. Throw down on me when you want to! Beach[This message has been edited by beachmaster73 (edited 01-12-2002).]

The first time I ever heard "Pennsyltucky" was from the Milton Berle show back in the '50's. At the beginning of the show, A carnival type pitchman would come out and announce the show. It was sponsored by Texaco and it went something like: "And now, the Milton Berle Show. Brought to you by the Texas Company of Texaco, Pennsyltucky....blah ....blah....blah....blah" Strictly a comedy routine by the guy but that's where I first heard it. It may have roots deeper than that but I don't know 'em.Mudge the geezerps. For the benefit of you "whippersnappers", Milton Berle was an old time vaudevillian that was able to perform on live TV because he'd been doing the same "stand-up schtick" on the vaudeville circuit for years.Mudge the historian7MM....I only live 1 1/2 miles east of I-81. Does that make me a yankee?

Jeeze, You guys......All these years I thought of people from the great state of Pennsylvania as tried and true Yankees. The state in which Robert E. Lee learned that Yankees were a whole lot tougher than he thought. Now you guys are telling me there is a subculture of Southerners in that fine state.....what a disappointment. My trips to Gettysburg will never be the same knowing that. Beach

Hey beach, I was replying to what you said in another thread, I was joking around, I would expect YOU to know the difference. If what I have to say is of no interest to you why in the hell do you even bother opening this thread. Have a nice day sir.Jesus christ, cant even joke without somebody getting mad and insulting.

7mm......Oh that thread!!! Hell I was trying to get a rise out of all the Southerners not you in particular. I read what you had just written and wondered why in the hell you were first inviting me to your truck and then promising me a donnybrook. 7mm...I'm an "A" type personality....always looking for a good confrontation...best way to mess with me is not to respond. Drives me right around the bend. In any case I sort of see some real humour to your twisted invitation...and if you're ever driving by Port Clinton in July and August I'll stand you to a beer at the National Matches. Salzo, you of course have an invitation for a beer and steak dinner anytime you are in my local area....even if you are a Southerner. All the best to both of you. Beach

aww cmon Salzo you need to get those thoughts out a yer head. Somebody wanted to know if I was outfitted to go up there and I pretty much said the only way to know if I'm outfitted properly is to find out for yerself. I did not mean for it to sound like some fag invite, if one of them show up at my truck they will definately find out what I have, and it will not be pleasant for them. Ya see der mr salzo all I was doin was funnin around and somebody wants to pick a fight, not today. I'm in too good a mood to fight so I'll be a good sport and laugh at ya. I spent enough time around some cranky yankees this week and I have to go to QUEENS tomorrow so I'll save my energy for them. BTW salzo , ifin you nots from philthydelpia, where you from, I see I made a mistake and accused you of being from the city of brotherly hate.

There you go calling me a yankee again. Neutral? I think not. It certainly seems that your "yankee" accusation has some negative connotation.

I grew up 22 miles south of Bedford or Bedrock as we called off of route 220 and about 4 miles from the mason dixon. Man those truckers use to fly up that road and smack a deer on the road and make hamberger out of speedbeef. yukRich

Did somebody say somethin` about bees?I know that I`m the one who started all this stuff about yankees, and sometimes I regret that I did.The thing is I live in a state that has been completely taken over by urban northeasterners...the ones that caused that "voted for the wrong guy"scandal. They don`t like guns, but they do like that $h!tty game called golf. Can ya blame me for bein` sick of em,runnin` around in their yellow shorts, black shoes, and black socks clear up,just below the knee??I`m actualy sick of the 'Y'wordNever, did I ever intend to insult the fine gunlovin, mostly rural folks.I just wish we had them moving here, instead of the ones I mentioned...I suppose life is just to good on the northern farm for the good ones to leave..218 the yankee lover.P.S.My best friends are my West Virginia neigbors...whatever they are Would the last reb to leave Flarda, please bring the.....aaahh,forget it.

.218, where can we send them die hard yanks,, we dont want 'em around here ruining our way of life either. Make ya a deal, I'll quit selling timeshares in fla to dem yanks and you help me send 'em to disney land in CA. BTW most of what I say about them is all in fun because one thing I noticed about "yankees", they hate that name! When I go up to the north east I love to get on the cb and sing yankee doodle. Ya outa here em cuss at me! I think it's funny. I love to agitate and I love good heated arguments but some on here have thought I got pissed, nah. Only once did I get mad but 99% of the time when I read negative posts about me I laugh while I reply to it. Some people just have no sense of humor. One thing I would like to see, Clouder has a real good grasp on the our language, I wonder if he can teach 'em how to talk using the letter R, ever notice yanks cant use that letter in words? And they always use a Sylvester Stallone or A Dice Clay accent?

Dano's here, and you better be nice to him or he'll bend you into a Yankee-doodle pretzel! Dano vs. perp: I'm required to tell you sir, that I know exactly 172 ways to kill a man with my bare hands in under four seconds and from the looks of you, I could probably manage it in two. I suppose I could be called a Yankee. Upstate NY is surely Yankee country.I've never gotten over the fact that NY was the only state to not vote for the Declaration of Independence. We purposely abstained. If it makes you feel any better, I'm thinking about going to college in Texas.Plus I drive the 45 minutes to the only Cracker Barrel in upstate NY as often as I can. Nothing like chicken fried steak, hominy grits and ice cream with sorghum molasses for desert.Makes me want to break out my banjo and my corncob pipe right now.Whee doggies! Where's my stompin' boots at, woman?[This message has been edited by Bullzeye (edited 01-13-2002).]

They're getting sued by the NAACP anyway.Alleging "mass and persistent gross racial bigotry and discrimination".As Jay Leno said, I guess they think they've got the crackers over a barrel now, eh?
