Mosin-Nagants are lookin' good....

I've been seeing some really good prices on these three types of Mosin-Nagant rifles online, especially for the M44.$129.99 for an excellent 1891/30 with all matching numbers, bayo, and some other minor extras$129.99 for an excellent M1938 with all matching numbers, some minor extras.$69.95 for a new M44 still in the mummy-wrap, and a bayoThese prices look mighty tempting for a guy such as myself who likes to clean 'em and likes to shoot 'em but isnt looking to spend a mint or bother with pinpoint accuracy.Is there anything in particular I should know about these particular Mosin-Nagant models or MGs in general?

Bullzeye,I've got both the 91/30 and the M44. They're not match carbines by any means but they are very decent shooters...

While we are on the subject,,,,,,,, I have a carbine marked 1891/59 What does the 59 mean ? I saw where a couple of you had the model1891/30. In that case waht does the 30 mean and how many other designations are there ?

I have one of these guns and the only thing I can say bad about them is that I don't like the safety. Other than that I'm pleased with mine.
