If so, what is it?
This is a virus alert.
>
>The message below was received very early this morning. I checked my PC and found that it did, indeed, contain the file mentioned. I have no idea of how long that file was in my system, nor whether or not it had time to proliferate itself. Obviously, however, since it was able to defeat my anti-virus software, it may be able to do the same with yours.

>I received an e-mail from a friend that she had possibly sent me a virus. I did a search and found the virus. Norton and McAfee do not detect the virus. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by the messenger and by the address book, whether or not you sent emails to your contacts.

I do have that file in my system. Since it was last modified on 1-11-99, I don't think I will worry about it doing any harm in 14 days.

If I knew then, what I know now.

This is a HOAX! Don't delete the file, it belongs to your Javascript application. If you delete it, you may not be able to use some computer applications. Go to the Symantec website and read about this particular hoax. http://www.symantec.com

A good friend of mine sent me this so I Deleted it thinking it was a valid request. One hour later I got a E-mail from some one at an Oil Co. saying it was a Hoax. Luckily it is easy to restore.

The people who start hoaxes like these, hoping that people will delete important parts of their system software, are as bad as those who write actual viruses.

And they both have the same motivation: sick glee at randomly damaging other people's property.
