About a week ago, I posted a link to a set of database files that I wrote to keep track of my gun collection. The stand alone version is now available. It does not require any additional software to run. Please see http://www.somanyroads.org/gunsafe/index.html for the download and additional information. It is pretty simple, but it may be useful to some folks. Any feedback is appreciated. I hope you enjoy it.BTW, this is, and will always be, freeware.Thanks....

Thanks, you are a pretty good guy for giving stuff away like that.

Dark, on the finish selection you missed camo, mossyoak, lower woodlands, shadowgrass. It looks good I am going to play with for awhile. Thanks for making this available for us, I have a spreadsheet I had made up but nothing as detailed as this you did a fine job.Rich

Ooops! I meant to include the ability to edit that list, like you can the stocks, calibers, etc. I'll post a fix as soon as I get home tonight. Sorry about that!

OK, with the files that I just posted, you can edit the Finish types. I also added the ones Rich mentioned.

I just added another fix because of a big error (couldn't add images) and a few minor display errors. Most current version is 2.05, downloadable from http://www.somanyroads.org/gunsafe/ . This version can also import/export data and do a few other things. This should be the final version until the new stuff I'm working on comes out in 3.0 (expected in July or so). Enjoy!

Great job ds11. It sure put my Excel spreadsheet to shame. You asked for suggestions. Maybe some of these features are there but I just havn't found them. 1. I would like to change the font size. My eyes aren't as young as the rest of me.2. A total investment and valuation.3. This may be there - a page for pistols, rifles, ammo, misc would be nice. Thanks again,Jeff

Hi cbx,Glad you like it. I'm planning on an update in July that will add a lot of report-type functionality, including a total on investment. Trying to get a happy medium between type size and available space is tough, but it is something I've been working on. Also, I'm working on the FAQ files so that when you click on the help button, you'll actually go to a web page that has how-to info on it. Thanks for the input!
