if one finds themselves on the wrong end of a gunfight, is it better for the one being shot to have the bullet go clean through his/her body, or not?

thanks

I would rather be held by 3 skinny cheerleaders, than carried by 6, judged by 12, or whatever else you guys say.

Horsie, one never knows unless one goes through it himself. In other words why don't you experiment with yourself and let us know what you came up with.

If no bone or vital organs are hit then it is best if it goes through.

Yes, it is better for the bullet to go through the body.
The human flesh is elastic and will pretty much close it's self up, so to speak. More than likely the bullet would not have been a hollow point that would have expanded and caused hemorrhaging.

The flip side of this would be a large caliber such as a 357 or 45.
In that case you are bleeding profusely out of two large holes.

you dont want that thing lodged in you so that you can get blood poinsoning....then again...
if it goes thrwough you, you are going to lose a lot of blood FAST!
    your choice.

Got shot with a 38 short colt once in the arm.
Puckered up & didnt bleed a drop. Sure tore hell out of the bone, though.
