Gun show story

The High Caliber Gun and knife show was scheduled for Lufkin Texas 10/16/04 - 10/17/04. This show is the closest one to me at 45 miles and I had been planning and putting money aside for several weeks to attend. While I was working on one of my rifles I happened to order some parts by phone from a vendor who had attended the last show and asked him if he would be attending this show so I could just pick the parts up in person. The vendor told me he would not be attending the show and had heard the show had been canceled. I called High Caliber and asked them if this was true. High Caliber confirmed the show was canceled. I could not help but think there must have been other people who would be planning to attend and some traveling even farther than me with no way to know they would arrive at an empty biulding. Atleast I can say after the latest screw-up if they have the nerve to offer another show I will not be attending.

I have never had that happen YET, Did go to one a while back in a small Town and the one big employer shut down the plant and put 5,000 people out on the street, needless to say their were not many buyers their, I Felt sorry fer the seller's Till I saw their HIGH prices and they would NOT deal with me on anything, Anyway it was a big Bust. I will never go to that one again.[V][xx(]
