I didn't want to hijack the military thread, so how about a postal match for handguns? Id like to do 50 (or 25?) yard rimfire. Id be in for centerfire too. Any other ideas?

Does anyone know if there are any postal matches being run any more for just plain old bullseye pistol and position rimfire rifle? I've done some searching but can't seem to come up with anything like I used to shoot when I was a kid.

Check with your local and surrounding National Guard armories. I believe the guard still sponsers postal matches. They may be for the kids though. If that is the case, you could volunteer your services as well as getting a chance and place to shoot. Ed
