Check out these bullets. I saw a report on the boob tube last night. These would be great for close quarters (cockpit?) and home defense. These would be hard to get ballistics from since they basically disintegrate. It will penitrate body tissue but won't go through very thick steel. They showed them being used in a pistol and a full auto rifle. They showed penitration on the gelatin blocks to show how deep it would go and how well they fragment. Just a hit with a hammer turns it to powder. Not bad prices either. http://www.thefrangible.com/index.html

So, if somebody gets shot with one of these type of bullets there will be no ballistic evidence to trace the projectile back to the weapon from which it was fired (since they turn into dust at impact)? Hmmmm....

Pretty freaky ain't it. I figured it would be for LEO and military use only but they do sell to the public. In the demo they did the largest piece was about the size of a pin head.

Interesting!They should be good for home defense. My house guns are loaded with Glasers but these sound better.
