When the tax money comes in, I will finish paying off and bring home my Taurus 1911. After that, maybe a Ruger 357 this fall.
I didnt know Taurus was making 1911s'. latley I have been into shotguns and revolvers
got the Ruger Blackhawk 357/9mm Cowboy for christmas haven't shot it yet
i'm definatly going to look at a Taurua 1911.
i looked at my last post on this thread and realized the MKII didn't sell, so I've been shooting it. My father-in-law gave me a single six and I managed to aquire a couple of 45's in the meantime.
I realized that I don't plan gun purchases, I just sort of stumble into them.
I still want a Marlin lever gun of some sort.
Or another 1911.
Or a 12-ga defender-type
Or another Smith & Wesson 357.
Make that damn near any Smith & Wesson, as long as it's pre-lock.
Or an SKS.
Or a left-hand varmint gun.
Or any left-hand bolt gun.
Build an AR in 223.
Build a 1911 in 45 acp.
Ruger single six with 22LR & 22 Mag cylinders (I have ALWAYS wanted one).
Or...a 243 just like this....I can purchase for $479+tax+shipping.
Well, so far only Nwcid seems to have recognized that this was a revived thread from 2005 asking "did you fulfill that goal?" So why shouldn't I pretend it's not a current thread, too? (I didn't respond to the original thread).
Next purchase: Some kind of AK47, I think, or else a .22 revolver if I bump into the right one at the right price.
But I'm a poor grad student, I just dropped $900 on a new pistol and expect to drop another $1200 importing guns that were left to me as a bequest, so.......it might be a while. But I'm not complaining. $1200 import fees for five guns.......sounds like a pretty good deal to me. And these are guns that I really do HAVE to acquire because they were willed to me!
Is there a Planned Gun group where I can get help...with me, they always seem to just happen... I just can't keep my wallet in my pants when some hottie says you want me and you know it....God I'm weak!!!
I was thinking of one of those Kel Tec Sub 16 C .223 that can fire folded etc. It's front grips fold out to bi pod, it can go pistol or fold completely for storage. Cool I don't know if it's any good but it's different.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!
i am looking for a rifle in 270 or 280 .cant really decide which thou .i am likeing a ruger 77 with a deflated stock but am open to most others .a remy auto or a howa or .............

Well, today I purchsed an old Winchester model 68--.22 single shot for my son. [:)]
He'll have loads of fun with that if he gets to shoot it a lot!
Actively looking for a Smith model 53 with aux cylinder and inserts, in the box.

Unfortunatly, nothing has tripped my trigger enough to plan for it ... [:(]

Wow ... 20 months and nothing has changed!
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.
Just found this old thread, and wondered how many people had fulfilled their plans ?
Yep!
Put a Bushnell 3200 Elite 3-9X40 and had the trigger to 3 lbs. Shoots like a dream.
Now I'm looking for a centerfire 22 bolt action or maybe a .243 or 6mm. Still thinking about the specifics.
Pistol-S&W 29 or 629. Ireally do like the classic Smith look of the 29 though.
Anyway, it's a Colt Gold Cup Trophy LNIB w/all, $725[:D]
Thanks, OMD[;)]
Long Gun: PTR91

They've all been spur of the moment, when a deal pops up kind'a things.
The "want list" is long, but until the "good deal" comes along, the wanting will continue.
