It seems www.packing.org has been superceded by

www.handgunlaw.us

If this is the case, I don't like it. It don't seem near as
functional or concise.

But there is one feature that packing.org didnt have...

and that is building your own ccw map...

If you click on the box for your state, or the states you have ccw's for, and then hit build ccw map, it will show you in red and blue the ones that honor your ccw....and you dont have to read a ton of material to find out...

...That's the feature I like too B.R. I've relied on packing.org, but they haven't kept up with state law changes in a timely manner. I hope this other site does better. Regardless of what you read on the net, make darn sure the info is correct. LEOs don't care when you say, "But I read it on a website!"

Packing.org did have that. I used it to print a map of the states that honor my permit to keep in my viechle. You just entered the states you hold permits in and it gave you the same type of red and blue map.

....I don't think packing let you build a map with multiple state permits. I know what you're saying, and I could be wrong (not me!), but if you have permits from several states, they can all be entered into the map building tool on handgunlaw.us.

www.packing.org is back up and running once again. Apparently they had on-going server problems due to a bad drive. They replaced it and they're back!

    [:)] Glad they are back!

If it took them this long to get back in action, they need a new host!

Don't think of the new site as a replacement for Packing.Org. think of it as another source of CCW info.
