11 Israelis suspected of parading as terror victims to extort donations. Up to NIS 5,000 already paid to each one.

Jerusalem police suspect eleven Israelis have committed fraud by posing as victims of terror attacks in order to receive donations from a charitable Christian organization.

The investigation was kicked off by a tip about a few Israelis turning to the "Christian Lovers of Israel" charity in Jerusalem and claiming to have been injured in terror attacks. They were wrapped
in bandages and some were even in wheelchairs.

Each was handed a sum of money between NIS 1,000-NIS 5000. The investigation revealed that most of the money was handed over to one of the suspects, a 22-year-old who is the ringleader of the sting.

Hidden cameras in the offices of the charity were set up just a few days ago. Soon after, a 21-year-old man wrapped in bandages came into the office. He claimed he was injured in last Thursday
's attack on bus 19 in Jerusalem. In cooperation with the police, funds were transferred to the man, who removed his bandages the minute he left the building.

The police arrested two other young men in Jerusalem and brought them in for questioning. The police report that the investigation is in full swing and they are expecting additional arrests in the near
future.[;)]
