i have taken on the responsibility of the wine at work, which is about 20k worth, im not the sommelier but i overlook the security of it, and inventory it daily, i just moved onto the hard liquor this week, i discovered one of the past front of the house managers ordered a bunch of stuff we will never use during my inventory {she was getting kickbacks}, ive been given the task of liquidating it at cost, i told the owner i was interested in the crown royal and offered to buy it for my collection, his words where "just take it, you have done enough for this place"
so i got
1 unopened crown rye
1 unopened crown vanilla
1 unopened crown maple
1 opened crown maple and sipping it now, very smooth
crazy amounts of high dollar scotch and cognac to go through as well as bourbon etc, still looking for that bottle of pappy van winkle

My dad is a huge fan of Johnny Walker. I bought him a bottle of JW Blue for his 70th birthday. He then went into his gun room and came out with a bottle for me. 1969 bottle of Crown Royal.I didn't have the heart to tell him I quit drinking, so I had a shot with him. Man that stuff was smooth. Gave the bottle to my sister to finish. She said it was the best she ever tasted. She then told me that, Dad has a whole case of this stuff stashed away from when he use to own a bar.Guess we will be fighting over that when he dies.[:D] NOT.
whiskey doesn't age once it leaves the barrel[;)] let her have it
