George Phillips of Meridian Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked "Is someone in your house?" and he said no. Then they said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be along when available.

George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again. "Hello I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now cause I've just shot them all." Then he hung up.

Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips residence. Of course, the police caught the burglars red-handed.

One of the Policemen said to George. "I thought you said that you'd shot them!" George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!"

(you may have seen this before, I just got it via e-mail and thought it was funny)

HAHA....you gotta give the guy credit. However, if he did that on my shift I would laugh at him...then kick his *. Gotta give the man credit though....that took balls. The police department should have taken it more serious though. You never know when a situation like that can turn towards the house and the people inside it.

    Excellent post!

My brother pulled the same stunt w/the neighbor's barking dogs.

    Instant cops, lol.

    Take care, AB.[:D]

The other way to get them there in a hurry is to say that the intruders are using drugs. I had trouble with a neighbor's kid one time, tresspassing, and riding his dirt bike where my landlord told him not to ride. One night the dirt bike was parked behind the barn. I called 911 and reported it, and told them I thought the kids were in the barn doing drugs. Five county police cars were there within three minutes. Never had any more trouble from that kid.

the best thing to do is say the intruders are Minuteman volunteers and you will have the Feds out there in a heatbeat to arrest them.
