Wow, what a place. Out visiting family in Michigan and took a family trip to the Cabela's, Dunde, MI, store. The guys just looked but the ladys did all the buying (gifts). Just walking through the store was like a trip to a nature museum thus making a nice experience for all. We were there for 3 hours and still did not see everything.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

The last time I was in the Cabela's in Nebraska, a friend and I went into this special room that had ALOT of firearms, mostly old ones. We were there for a while drooling over some of the guns, when a salesman came in from the back room, and we all started talking about some of the different guns. After a while we went on to view the rest of the store. We later found out you are not even supposed to go "into" that room without a salesman present. Another group had been escorted out of it. I guess the man we talked to must have thought we were OK, because he never did say anything about that to us. Great place.

If I knew then, what I know now.

    Pickenup,
You found yourself in Cabela's "Gun Library", some nice (very nice)guns to be seen in there, for sure.
I'd almost bet a burger on it, that the guy in the Library was either Dave, Wes or Dwight--all three, as nice of guys you can find-anywhere.
I'm lucky enough to know them all well enough that when they buy an estate or collection of guns I get a phone call describing any items that they think may interest me.
Problem is--Some real nice guns sometimes stretch a real small bank account.

I have been to the Cabela's south of Minneapolis. Fabulous. Unbelievable.

I just hit the 1 in Owatanna, Minn. and the store was huge. I spent quite awhile looking around. Unbelievable selection but their prices were high on just about everything I looked at.
