from the factory today, after two trips, via UPS, and almost three months.
It is finally a semi automatic pistol and not a single shot.
Five rounds through and no problems. Ten rounds through and still no problems.
While I am pleased with the fact that Taurus honors their warranty and fixes their products, I'm not sure how I feel about having to send it twice, pay thirty bucks to ship it twice, ($15 each to ship it to them) and three months of not having my gun.
But man, I sure do like the gun.
Biggest handgun I've ever owned. A .40 S&W, PT 101.
My son said, "Man that thing makes a big boom".

I've got a PT-100 that I bought new in about 1991. Never had a problem with it. I called Taurus about two or three years ago and told them that I wanted to order new recoil spring and new mag springs for it since it had a few years and a lot of rounds through it. The rep. at Taurus said to send the gun back and they would fix it. I told him that there was nothing wrong with the gun, I just wanted to buy the springs. He said could send it back and they'd replace the springs and "service" the gun for NO CHARGE. I sent it back, and they returned it in about three weeks....New springs and another note in with the gun that said they inspected the gun and did something else to it. All for no charge. That's what I call service!!!
