I see it as there was no way to stop it if in fact he knew. Its just the demicrats tryin to gain brownie points with the public thew only way they know how, LIE threw their teeth.

I would like to think, that the majority of the American public, had the sense to realize these threats are a daily occurance. But Clinton got elected twice, so there goes that theory. I'm sure there is a threat before most terrorist attacks, so many that they can't be believed. Lets ask the Democraps how much they knew just before the Cole got attacked.

Another example of 20-20 hindsight and a media feeding frenzy. I bet the President gets a threat from something or another every day, that we never hear about. If the press really wants to worry about something, worry about what hasn't happened yet, like a large scale nuclear or biological attack, and what we might do to prevent it.

Our intelligence community had been under intense internal scrutiny & attack ever since Frank Church and other liberal mushbrains went after them in the 70s. I will *NOT* defend the excesses that led to those attacks, for those were indeed indefensible, but in 'correcting' (?!!) the problems, the Democraps emasculated our intelligence apparatus. Then comes the Wunderkinder with their shiney satellites and Crays . . . who needs people who can speak a language and disappear into a crowd in Khost (Beijing, Sarajevo, etc.)? Now we know. I do feel that 70% of the intelligence failure can be laid to the feet of the leftist elites, but certainly the Republicans have some blame. As do most all of us. We sat here, fat, dumb & happy, despite the warning signs, despite the embassy bombings, the Cole, WTC 1993 - all of which were in the public realm, and did not demand action by our government (well, some did, but most, like Klintoon, were more interested in the definition of "is" and the location of Chandra) nor corrections in the intelligence lapses which allowed these earlier attacks.

Maybe, just maybe, if there had been better cooperation between our various agencies, an analyst would have had access to all these clues & put together enough of a picture to prevent - or at least forewarn of - this. But I doubt it.

Witch hunt? Absolutely. I sure hope the role of the prior Administration on the road to 9-11 receive equal publicity, but I learned long ago that is only a hope.
