You're The Enemy

You're The Enemy"We must declare war on guns and anybody who buys or possesses a gun has to be an enemy to the community."So said rabble-rousing priest Fr. Michael Pfleger in an August 22, 2001 interview in the Chicago Daily Defender. In that same article, the South Side Pastor criticized anyone who claims to have a constitutional right to own firearms, and called for house to house gun searches and seizures. As usual, Pfleger fails to look beyond the swing radius of his own collection plate before opening his mouth. If he did, he'd be well aware that one of the main reasons his congregation has flourished is our First Amendment. And, as Charlton Heston has pointed out, the only reason we have a First Amendment is because we have a Second Amendment. Pfleger should remember well that guys like him wouldn't survive long in places like China, Rwanda, or the Balkans.Of course, Pfleger's remarks are just another example of how liberals transfer the blame. Pfleger's flock has a well demonstrated penchant for offing each other at the drop of a dime bag. But, of course, it's the Constitution's fault. Anyone wishing to remind Fr. Pfleger of the freedom he enjoys may do so by e-mailing him.mailto:pastorpfleger@ameritech.net

I agree pig. I cannot stand people like this. Of course it is his right to disagree but it is mine to defend. Hey, Rev, ever heard of a collateral cost? Yep, he's got his views and I got mine. I like mine better!

I can't seem to find the paper itself...but other links say it is a black owned paper. You would think that black leaders would be smarter than that..after all, many gun laws are directed at blacks...almost ALL early gun laws disarmed blacks......

i had a black professor in college who was a real interesting guy. one of those africa boosters. you know, dressed in african tribal clothing and changed his name to an african name. he was a self-described communist. he was open about his socialist beliefs and we had some lively debates but i think we both respected the other despite our differences. anyway, he was totally against gun control. he saw it, and i agreed with him (one of the few times), as a means of taking power away from the people. of course, his feelings might change if the communists took over and it was the other people who would lose power by having their guns taken away.

I remember I had a job, and was riding on a bus with a bunch of musicians. The topic of gun control came up, and of course, being musicians they were all for it. There were only two people on the bus saying gun control was wrong. One was myself, the other was a pianist in the group. His father is Alexander Soltsenitzen(sp.), a soviet writer who defected from the soviet union. He is famous for writing several books about being exiled in the soviet union, he himself spent a few years in Siberia for writing literature that the party did not like. This pianist could not believe all of these bus riders wanted gun control, and in fact no guns. He knew from first hand experience, what happens when you do not have guns, and a tyrant is standing over you.

A lot of Christians of all types stood by and said nothing to the Nazis. The Catholic Church, at least, had an underground that tried to save Jews. The crap the Jews have been trying to lay on the Pope back then is just that... crap. One demented minister shouldn't be used to taint a faith. Beach
