Got the camera dialed in. View thru the welding helmet set a #13 shade. Can even see some sun spots...

Also, camera Canon 80d set at 100 ISO, f32, 1/4 second shutter with a 300mm Canon prime L lens with polarized filter and welding helmet at #13 shade. Just in case some photographers here would like to know.

Yea, but how do you know that will work when the moon blocks the sun? It might look like that famous painting,..."Paris seen through the eyes of a dead man".

I fail to see the fascination of the moon blocking the sunshine to certain areas of Earth for a couple of minutes. I personally won't bother walking out in the backyard to look at it.

Careful with the welding mask. Thirteen is the minimum, fourteen is better. I weld with a nine and it's too weak for the sun.

Ahhh. But you should. Even if you never look up!

The shadow patterns are spooky and odd.

And you might never have the opportunity to experience it again in your lifetime.
