I don't believe this down turn is going to last long. Silver is rapidly being removed from the market. Supplies cannot keep up with demand. Cost of mining is about $16 an ounce. The big issue is the short selling without delivery. The con artists are selling silver that isn't even mined yet. Silver blast off is just around the corner. I say before the end of 2015.

I don't think I would trust paper silver anymore. I want those bars or coins right in my hot little hands. If I shop locally at some of the gold/silver/coin shops I can take physical possession right at the time of sale. I've bought silver on paper before and never was really comfortable with the risk that the paper was actually worth anything and whether or not the company at the other end of the line wouldn't just fold up and disappear suddenly. Possession is 10 tenths for me now. [:D]

A good friend of mine is heavy into silver, and his group is predicting $12.50 - $13.00 for a low.
I buy a little every month, dollar cost averaging!

I've been buying 10 oz per month. Just started but price is not the consideration now accumulation is. Slow and steady purchases, I hope it goes lower maybe I can increase the amount being bought.

I want a $10 silver Maple Leaf, and a $1,000 Krugerrand, then I will buy, buy, buy!

If it gets to the low prices some of you are waiting for, picture how easy it was to find .22LR lately. If we see only a couple of percent increase in silver buyers, it won't matter it is a low price because you won't find any at that price.

If it goes to $10, I'd buy 500oz!

where is the best place to buy at a price it will not take 5 years or a major jump to just get back even with the purchase price I would pay ( dealer mark up is what I am asking I guess )
if it 15.00 a oz market and the dealers want 20 + not much of a deal

This is a quick guide to the competitive pricing between the largest sellers online.

    https://comparesilverprices.com

depending on what you want, the price can be as little as 69 cents over spot. Also remember the spot price is only a benchmark derived from the selling of paper contracts for larger amounts of silver. You are buying it retail, so expect to pay some premium to the seller.

Buying privately, I behave as though I am the retailer and then you can offer less than spot. Then the margin is in your favor.

Check out JM Bullion as an example.

Silver bars, 10 oz or 100 oz at between 0.60 and 0.70 per ounce over spot. This price includes shipping to your house.
