Getting blue and red rope cut for a knot tying exercise with a dozen girls scouts tomorrow.
Cut a bunch of three foot lengths of poly braid and hit the ends with a hot knife to keep them from fraying.
Unfortunately, I was doing this in my basement with minimal ventilation.
Appears from a quick Google search, I haven't killed myself. And wasn't burning. Was welding the ends with an occasional wisp of smoke.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, go outside. Even if it's cold and snowing.
My 2cents.
I feel unwell.

In my parts, Red or Blue anything on your persons could result in random gunfire by gangs.
I never gave it a thought but then its far in-between my burning / sealing the end of the poly rope will know better next time
and good for you teaching the class .
