In the video they made a big deal about locking the bolt slowly. The slowness that they locked it in there was so slow I was wondering what was wrong with it. Anyone have an idea why they had to do that?

They said it was the prototype. They probably got the bugs worked out of later versions.

Whatever happened to JD Jones and SSK Industries? Their website is still up but it seems to have been dormant since 2006.

Thats hilarious. Didn't someone make a T-Rex or something like that and post videos of people almost dislocating their shoulders shooting it? I dont think a Caldwell lead sled would stand a chance with that rifle.

wow 25,000 foot pounds , a .50 bmg is 16,000 or less, i want nothing to do with that as a rifle, but the right set up i can see possible avoiding the 20mm as a destructive device

I bet it went off when somebody was throwing the bolt in the past. That or the lack of a safety.

That is a big pill. "like shooting 10 30-06 at once..."
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

d--Thats equal in weight to the old British 'Two-Bore' of black powder days. Only available in single shot rifles-They propelled an 8 ounce lead ball at around 1100fps. Avg gun weight was around 30lbs. NOT for the recoil shy [xx(]

Would that be considered a "brush gun"?

I think that would make even the grizzly crap its pants and run. Want a guaranteed one shot kill on dangerous game? I would imagine that would blow a hole in the grizzly about the size of a football and it would drop where it stood.

Anzio Iron Work's 20mm rifle still has it beat for foot pounds of energy, and has a much better ballistic coefficient. This is the big bore equivalent of a 35 Remington while the 20mm is more like the 30-06.

Still a way cool rifle, but I want them to talk more about the gun itself, the scope, accuracy, etc., and spend less time acting like *. Oh and by the way- if I were shooting that I'd want a major recoil pad and jacket to start with.

Looks like fun but they let their exuberance come across as... stupidity.

For the love of god man, show the target!
