A gun topic... imagine that! Results of shooting PA63

I picked up a PA-63 at the last gun show in good shape with holster for $115 in 9X18. I like the gun, as it has PP lines but for a fraction of the cost, and fires a slightly more powerful round. I found the gun to be pleasantly accurate, but it fed Wolf Bi-metal cases horribly- 95% jammed, and I had to force the slide shut by hand. This appears to be copper washed steel cases. I have had trouble with Wolf ammo before in extraction, but never feeding. Anyone else experience this in their PA or Makarov?

Jonk,Are you sure your using 9x18 rounds? Ball ammo or Hollow Points? I know several people who have purchased Pa63s and never had the problem your describing. Wolf Ball ammo seems to fire fine in mine, however the recoil begins to get unpleasant after a few rounds.

It is ball ammo, copper jacketed. I am sure it is 9X18 Makarov, and the gun is stamped such on the side. Even if it were 9X19, one would think the shorter round would chamber. And yes, recoil is quite powerful. I'm going to try some brass cases and see; otherwise, I'm wondering if I might not have a weak spring or something.
