" People have no right to walk around with loaded guns on their waste. Let the police do their job"

Ed Rendell

This guy could be PA's next Gov.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

For us that doesn't make sense, but you have to look at it from the other perspective. The majority of anti-gunners have a very limited (if any) knowledge of firearms. Their whole foundation is grounded on hearsay or one or two bad experiences. When we say, 'Everyone should carry a handgun' they instantly picture heavily armed gang members, racists or violent criminals, and their instant reaction is HECK NO! They believe they're protecting people, but it never dawns on them the criminals are ALREADY armed.

Who wants to walk around with a gun on their "waste", anyway?

Seems like that would be kind of messy.

My undestanding of the Constitutional Right which addresses every citizens right to "bear arms" including carrying a gun on his person anytime anywhere in the country, so long it is not concealed. And, under certain conditions, if it is concealed it must be in a locked case or being directly carried to a vehicle (such as in California).

When transported in a vehicle it must be transported in a manner consistent with state laws; there are other limitations (such as carrying a firearm around or nearby schools).

So long as it is worn in a holster a fully exposed sidearm must be just that, fully exposed to in plain site and, carried in ones waistband may not qualify as it may be partially or easily concealed, I am not sure, as the state code does not address this.

Is my understanding of this, not correct?

The word "bear" in the (2d Amendment) as in "bear arms" doesn't mean just keeping them locked up in ones own home, it is defined also, as carrying.

Our fellow libertarian citizen (the one running for Senator in the state of Colorado.) who garnered much publicity on internet gunright boards is challenging a city ordinance arguning his constitutional right to carry a gun in public, he was arrested earlier this year for doing jusst that after publisizing he's intention to carry a gun strapped to his person during his campaign kickoff, he was arrested and cited for breaking the ordinance which banned the carrying of guns within city limits, he has his court hearing slated for Nov 6 of this year.

It will be interesting to see what develops.

The quote gives a whole new meaning to "fanny pack".

Often the mind believes it is thinking, when it is only passing from one metaphor to the next.

That is just a plain nasty waY to carry your gun. The original quote wasn't much more offensive than Bill Rugers remarks concerning high cap magazines though.

AN ARMED SOCIETY IS A POLITE SOCIETY
