What is your favorite,Bolt Action RifleSemi-Auto RifleRevolverSemi-Auto PistolShotgunFor me, it's a Remington 700 BDL in 30.06, a colt M-15, S&W 629 .44 Mag., Colt 1911 in .45 ACP (of course), and a winchester 101 in 12 ga.I know thats all very generic, and I love a lot of different firearms in other situations such as conceal carry. But overall, those are still my favorites.

We've seen posts about the worst gun you've had, the largest recoil you've had, wish lists...Now of all the guns you EVER OWNED, which Is you favorite? Do you still have it?Believe it or not, mine was a Crosman 1377 single shot pellet gun with a detachable stock. It was rusty, dinged up and had no finish left, but I had a blast with it as a kid.It broke my heart when my father (who is anti-gun) hammered in its barrel

Ruger Blackhawk in 41 mag. Liberty model year at that. Bought NIB in 1976. And yes I still have it. Took a Musk Ox with it in 1997. Complete penetration at about 60 yards, one shot kill.

Stevens Crack-Shot 22. Was my grand-dad's when he was a kid. I learned to shoot on it. Now all mine! Nothing fancy, but still fun to shoot. And a great gun to learn on. Rolling block single shots are great for that!

i've got a rem. 788 in a 22-250, and, well it just seams to "fit". i wont tell you i have never missed with it, for i have, but it has more hit's than misses. if i could change on thing on it, that would be to make it lighter.

Just for sentimental reasons because I don't shoot it any more. A nickel S&W 32 cal. 1'st model hand ejector that my grand father had. I shot a sparrow off of my folks garage roof with that thing when I was 12, couldn't do that again in a 1000 times.

Remington Model 25 in 32-20. Same frame size and weight as a Rem model 12 & 121 .22 pump. Slim, light, accurate, lines up fast and handloads up to 30 carbine power levels. It's as fast as a semi auto in aimed rapid fire. I bought a 55%condition mod 25 at a gun show that I liked so much that I later bought a 99% gun.It was Frank Barnes's, of "Cartridges of the World", favorite too.

Winchester 94 in 38-55, octagon barrel, great condition. Not carbine, rifle. (26"bbl) Shot my first deer with it. Sold it here maybe two years ago, wish I wouldn't have.....Handgun-Single-Six, because it's been with me constantly while working in the woods, beat to hell from all that, but it's my baby.Shotgun-ancient A-5, solid matted rib, no engraving, massive honest wear from countless hours in the duck swamps..

Over the past 45 years I have kept all my favorite firearms and have owned/traded/swapped thousands of firearms. Favorites are Marlin 336SC in 35, father gave it to me when I was 12. Ruger 10/22, S#547, bought l964. S&W 29-2 44 Mag. bought in 1980 and carried it every day until a year ago. Remington 722 in 308, got it in 1990 and have shot 12 deer with it so far. Have a custom Remington 700 in 358 that was a gift to me; the most accurate rifle I have ever owned and have yet to shoot a critter with it. Yesterday I got what may become my favorite rifle, a new Ruger #1 stainless/gray-laminated, 308. I have never met a gun owner who had only one "favorite" firearm and I hope all you guys have the fun I do shooting, trading, swapping and talking about firearms.

My Remington model 514 is my favorite. Yes I still have it and shoot it often. When I was 12 I traded it 4 cord of firewood. I'll probably always have it.

I've had a few favorites and as I missed some of them when I sold them I have taken the effort to re-acquire the ones I missed the most. My favorite purely practical defense gun is the Glock, most any Glock. I've had a 17, 19, 23, 21, 30 and now a 27. I've decided smaller is better. I currently only own the one Glock.30 Carbine -- I got a military surplus gun and hand sanded and rubbed the stock to like-new condition. It's a great shooter. The reason I have a fondness for it, besides its light and reliable shooting, is that my dad taught me to shoot military-style for home defense with an Iver Johnson back in the 60s during the racial unrest -- I think he bought it at K-Mart. I hope he wills me his carbine -- then I'll have two. I currently have a wood pistolgrip stock with folding shoulder piece on my mil-.30. It's a nice size that way and versatile with softnose ammo.My other old favorites, which I've just re-acquired, are the Star PD and the stainless Bulldog Pug .44 with the pocket hammer. The Pug is light as an airweight and yet shoots a bullet nearly the size of a 1911. Fits down your pants, in your belt, on your ankle, wherever. It's not a shrouded pocket hammer, but it does offer the option of single action in a pinch. I just love it for its value, simplicity, size and weight. The Star PD is just a tremendous value, as somebody here said, the best gun Star ever made. Handsome, simple, and light. I even bobbed the hammer on the previous one I owned. My favorite assault rifle is currently still the AK-47S; I picked up a Norinco at a gun show some years ago and have held onto it. It shoots great and the trigger is light as a feather. I'm favoring the bigger bores these days in handguns, obviously. I own an 870 SP shotgun with pistol grips front and rear. I have a variety of heavy loads for it. I used to love grandpa's Winchester Model 12 16-gauge, but it was a long barrel, I don't hunt birds anymore, and besides there was a not-so-great design flaw that allowed the possibility of a primer being touched off by a protruding metal component when unspent shells were unloaded. I always wanted a classic Uzi carbine, I bought one in semi-auto, but had to let it go when I needed the money. You know those guns used to sell for $400? Mine cost me $1600 in new unfired condition. Sadly, I lost a little on the sale.

Winchester model 70 pre-64 in 30-06 First year production run. It is all original and in perfect condition. I still have it and hunt with it as much as possible. I also have a custom Siamese mauser in 45-70 that pulls a close second.

S&W K-22(pre Mod 17)Masterpiece. My mother bought it for my father many many moons ago and now I have it. Couldn't tell you how many tens of thousands of rounds between the old man and three kids but it still locks up tight.
