A.J. Concert

WOW!! This past Thursday night, we attended an Alan Jackson concert here in the Meadowlands of NJ (that used to be in the shadow of the World Trade Center). What a great show. We yankees don't get to see as many C&W stars as most of you do, although I don't know why. The place was packed and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
Martina McBride opened for him and she too is great. What a reception she was given. She was on stage over an hour as an opening act. I never saw so many Jersey cowboys and girls. Boots and western hats everywhere. I felt like I was back in Nashville where we vacationed last year.
When we got home, Mrs NJRETCOP said that she wanted me to be more like Alan Jackson. Friday morning when I got up, she had torn the damn knees out of all my jeans.............lol. I'm afraid we're both getting old if the sight of a pair of knobby, white, 63 year old knees turns her on!
All I can add is that I wish more of them would visit this venue. There are MANY C&W fans here. When AJ sang his song about the Trade Center, "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning" it almost brought down the house. Many of us here lost close friends and relatives on 9/11 and really appreciated his tribute to them.
God Bless America, C&W music, Alan Jackson and Martina and all their peers. God Bless all of us........
