Was looking through some magazine at the barbers waiting to get my ears lowered, and what should I open the mag to? Lo and behold a PETA ad, one of the ones in your link too. Well this kind of pissed me off for a second until I happened to look at the next page. Some fashion spread on leather belts. Not just dead animal skin, strips of it for several hundred dollars. I just thought it ammusing.
