CCTV IR camera ?

I've been using an IR video camera at my deer/turkey/bird feeder out in front of our house. It is a 12v system with Siamese cable with the power and video. It comes into the house and I feed it thru a DVD/VHS player/recorder to the TV in the event I want to "tape" activity at the feeder. It quit working a while ago just before I had the front "yard" timbered. I removed the camera and cable and recently installed it in front of the house.
I tested the camera (OK) and ran new cable to the DVD/VHS/TV.
I now have clear daylight color video but during the night-time I have a "rolling" strip showing on the TV. I'm using a Magnavox 4 head HI-FI Stereo DVD/VHS unit and an old CurtisMathes TV (the TV is also hooked up to Comcast).
Any suggestion on what could be causing the interference? I have "some" Christmas money left and am considering a new HD flat screen and a DVD player/recorder.

I found my problem when after cussing and checking everything I could in my system 3 cameras went black. I have no idea how one cord did that but that was all I needed to get them working again. Now I am going to repair the cord so if the weed eater gets another I am ready. [:)]
Hopefully NC doesn't get too much snow and my engineer will make it home to PA so we can celebrate Christmas, just a little late.
